Wow. It's hard to believe that when I started writing this book, I was about eleven years old and in fifth grade. The idea was really born when my friend, Abby, told me she only liked to read the fantasy genre, and I decided I was going to write something for her to read. That was it. I just sat down at the computer one day without any idea for a plot, or a conflict, or a setting; I just knew the genre would be fantasy, and Abby would be the main character. Believe it or not, I actually didn't think of the title Fantasy until later. Three or four years later, in eighth grade and at the age of fourteen, I finally finished it. This novel is my first, and I learned so much while writing it. Finishing this story was one of the toughest challenges I've ever subjected myself to, and without it I wouldn't be where I am today. Without further ado, ladies and gentlemen, I present to you, Fantasy.
