Chapter 3

Lyla and Kylo Ren made quite a forbidding pair staling down the corridors of Starkiller Base, a female Vader and a Vader wannabe. Stormtroopers stared, but none stopped. Except for one curious fellow. He stopped in the middle of the way and stared openly. Lyla sensed that Kylo Ren wanted to yell at him, so she beat him to it.

"I'm not Vader. Sorry. Now if you'll excuse me," Lyla pushed passed the offending stormtrooper, Kylo Ren following her.

They turned and entered a massive chamber. Kylo Ren led her to a platform twenty feet away from a Holoprojector. "Compose yourself," said Kylo Ren, through the metallic voice changer.

"No need." Her reply was firm as it was true.

The Hologram flickered to life. A larger than life image of a pale white humanoid with extensive scarring formed in the cold, empty air. The figure opened his mouth to speak:

"This is the new recruit you spoke of?"

"Yes, Supreme Leader. I find she has much potential here in the First Order," Kylo Ren answered.

"What is your name?"

"Lyla Skywalker, my lord." Lyla answered. "Daughter of Darth Vader, lord of the Sith."

"You know the Force?"

"I do. I trained with Obi-Wan Kenobi, and my brother, before he left."

Snoke mused on this for a while, then said, "Allow me into your mind."

Kylo Ren stepped forward. "I have already done so, my lord, and she  is-"

Lyla cut him off. "It is no matter." She set about taking down the walls she'd propped up over the years. She'd grown used to them, so much that without them, she felt naked, exposed.

A slight pressure pushed against the forefront of her mind. She did not resist it.

Snoke was skilled at his work. He saw the Early Days, when she'd trained with Obi-Wan, the carbonite freezing she undertook willingly, the unfreezing, when she finally met her siblings, when they were old and she still young. The training she received at Luke's new Jedi Academy, apart from the others, as she'd learned so much already, but still with them. Had meals together. Shared a dormitory. She had friends, for once.

How Ben, Luke's little prodigy had turned against them, killing them all. How she had half a mind to join him, then, fearing this notion, she'd fled.

She felt so ashamed afterwards, so selfish. She could have saved them! She-

She felt another presence on her mind.

She poked it, and it squirmed. She nearly laughed out loud. So that's who it was! She gave it a sliver of thought- later.

It retreated from her mind, as did Snoke.

She opened her eyes. "Very well," said Snoke. You may join us. You will be known as-" He paused, and thought for a second. "-Lady Starkiller, and have the same rank as the General, and Kylo Ren."

"Thank you, my lord."

"You are capable, I think. Now, Kylo Ren, find her living quarters, and show her the workings of this base."

"Yes, Supreme Leader."

Snoke seemed to smile a little, on his throne. But before Lyla could be sure, the Hologram had winked out of existence.

A/N- What do you think? Vote, comment, follow, etc. Sorry for the short and late and lame update, it's hard to type out so much. And hard to write. And hard to write when there are awesome stories on Wattpad to distract you.

TWO QUESTIONS-

1. Should I shorten the title? It's so long...

2. Should I change it to first person? Instead of she, it'll be I.

Tell me in the comments!

Love you all! Love cookies!
