A/N AGAIN, PLEASE TELL ME IF I GET ANYTHING WRONG
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Safe in hyperspace, Lyla took a look down at the object in her lap. A short, rectangular hilt greeted her coldly. Damian saw it too, and grinned. Much clanking and clashing could be heard as Dylan climbed out of the gunners place. Her hand closed around the metal block, against the thin guard. It was cool as ice, steely gray, yet, it felt so... right.
It had been a long and hazardous road, doing good in this world, being a hero. But every light cast a shadow.
Perhaps it was time she did so.

They landed the Peregrine Falcon at the Resistance base in D'Qar. Walking down the ramp, she saw a slight figure standing there, waiting.
Her sister stood there, waiting.
"Enjoy your holiday?" asked Leia.
"Very much," Lyla replied.
The twins sniggered.
Leia didn't know the things she and the twins did. It wouldn't be appropriate. And besides, she thought, what she doesn't know can't kill her. So instead of telling Leia what happened, she made a request.
"Would you let me in to see recent on-goings?"
"Of course."
Lyla gave Leia's temples a slight tap with her fingers. A small probe, and the contents of the past were revealed to her. The loss of BB-8 and the map to Luke. Finding it again in the company of Han Solo, an ex-stormtrooper, and a scavenger, in Maz Kanata's castle. The First Order going to acquire it. And the battle about to take place for it.
She snapped out of Leia's mind. "I'll go get ready."
"You do that."

In the relative privacy of her quarters, Lyla finally took of Vader's mask. She dressed in the full armour. Thick leather boots, thick woolen tunic, thick woolen cape. And the Darksaber.
Of course.
No one was around now. She knew this. Again, she gripped the hilt. Again, the guard protruded out and saved the fingers. But this time, she switched it on.
Whatever she was expecting, it wasn't this. The blade was more like a metal knife than anything else. It was short, angular, and seemed to suck the light out of the place. Indeed, she could see little rivulets of light on the edges of the blade
She swung it in a few choice moves. The balance was good, very good, as if it were made for her. She didn't know if it was the same for Pre Visla, and his relations. Probably not. Not if it was for her.
Perhaps, she thought, it was time for it to be decided. Perhaps, embracing fate would make life clearer, happier. Perhaps, it would cheer her up. Perhaps, Leia would understand.
Perhaps.
Perhaps, it was time to go.

Again, sorry it's short, but there's a longer chapter coming soon, bear with me! And may the force be with you!
That's the Peregrine Falcon up top, like a TIE Fighter!
