Ch. 13: Just Friends

Hayes POV
It felt amazing to have her back in my arms, but it was only in a friendly way. I hope she didn't think that I liked her more than that. Before she was cuddled in my arms, this happened:

She stood up and slipped across the wet steep sand slide. A wave overtook her, and I can hear major screams and I see lots of splashes. I was trying to run towards her but I was too stunned to move. Another wave overtook her, and everyone around the beach ran, suspecting a tsunami, though she had just slipped. Once the wave hit where her hair was slightly out of the ocean, she disappeared out of my view. A tear ran down my cheek. "Bye, ally." I said quietly. Suddenly, I saw fingers fighting against the waves and pushing onto the mud, scraping it gently. She flopped out onto the sand breathing heavily, and she huddled into her knees, moving backwards. I ran home and grabbed 2 blankets. I wrapped her in one and put one under us. She layed her head in my shoulder and fell asleep.

I hugged her a little tighter. I let go and let her sleep. I watched the sunset grow. The waves grew calmer, and I looked up. The red was an aching blood, the orange resembling summer love, the yellow flow of the sun showing the love of Jesus. I sighed in awe. I felt a soft weight lifting off my shoulder. "It's beautiful, huh?" I said, looking at her eyes. She nods and smiles. "Thanks, I would've frozen to death." She rasps. My heart aches. "What happened to your voice?" I say. She shrugs. "cold." She says and coughs. "Hm you're sick. Let's get you home."

Ally POV.
He lifts his hand under my butt and around my back. I blush and he does too. He moves his hand onto my thigh. "That didn't help." He laughs. I laugh quietly and nod. "It's okay. We're friends, nothing more." He smiles at that comment. "good, didn't wanna start anything anymore!" He says with a smirk. "Sarcasm? Oh no Hayes!" I say sternly. "NO NO no sarcasm intended!" He laughs and we start walking toward the hotel
Or basically home.When we walk in Cameron is pacing with his hands  in his hair. He looks at Hayes and glares when he sees me in his arms. Hayes puts me down and I hug Hayes. He's much talked than me though. I let go and run to Cameron. He smiles at me. I look in his eyes. They're puffy and red. "Why were you crying??!" I ask. "I saw you drowning, but the doors were locked and the lobby guy wasn't on duty he was at lunch. I thought you were dying!" He says in a breath, and kisses me roughly. He smooths my wet hair. "Oh, it's okay! Hayes just helped me here. I'm gonna go shower and I'll come to your room after." I say. I walk away and Hayes walks behind me. When we walk in I see Sammy on his bed. He looks up and his eyes become wet. "Ally, you're alive!!!" He says. Then he wipes away the wetness. "But I wish you weren't." He says. I bite my lip, and a tear runs down my cheek. Hayes walks in and before he sees me I walk in the shower. When the hot water hits me I feel memories.

Water water water
Drown drown drown
Death death death
Ocean ocean ocean
Wave wave wave
Tsunami...

Stop it, ally. Don't worry about it. It's all okay now. You're safe with Hayes and Cameron... And everyone else of course. I took a breath and continued my shower.

Hayes POV
The water spraying sound felt comforting, to know that ally was safe and warm now. I sat on my bed and saw that I had gotten a text from Jack G.

Jack: is something going on with you and ally?

Me: Cameron asked you, right?

Jack: maybe...

Me: haha no there isn't. We're just friends.

Jack: okay. He wants to talk to you.

Me: tell him to text me on his phone.

Jack: okay.

Jack G POV
"So, what did he say?" Cameron asked eagerly. "He said you can text him on your phone." I say, pretending to file my nails. "Ha ha ha very funny. I mean about ALLY! She's my girlfriend ya know." He pointed out for the millionth time.

I rolled my eyes. "He said they're just friends."

"And how are we supposed to believe him Jack?" Cameron said, standing up and putting his hand on the door knob.

"I don't frickin know Cameron, I don't frickin know. She's not my girlfriend and I'm his friend. I'm not gonna betray him or you in any way!" I say annoyed. I walk to the other side of the room and sit on the window ledge. I hear the door close and a slam.

Me: I'm pretty sure Cameron is coming over.

Hayes: okay, thanks for the warning. Ally is here.

Me: I'm pretty sure he knows.

I close my phone and look at the beautiful view. The dark sky filled with lit up stars. I looked down and saw the ocean, darker than ever. One person sat on the ledge, though it was really dark I couldn't see who. They were making drawings in the sand though since we were far up I couldn't see what it said. A wet drop drifted from the persons face. Tears? I grabbed two coats and ran out. "Where are you going?" Nashs muffled voice rang out. "Just a walk." He nods and I run back out and onto the beach. I walk slowly now. Once I get closer, I see a brunette. She's clearly shivering and she's wearing shorts and a tank top. She's drawing hearts in the sand. Tears dotted the hearts, making a sad design. I cleared out the sand and sat next to her. She looked up to me and her eyes lit up. "Jack G? Magcon? I'm gonna faint!" She says. I laugh lightly and hold her face back up from the sand. I hand her a coat and she smiles. "What's wrong?" I say, scooting closer. "My boyfriend Josh, Surely you know him.. He cheated on me with two girls one named Megan and one-"I interrupted her. "Ally?" I said. "Yea... How did you?" she asks. "We're friends." I say biting my lip. "You're friends with THE Ally Gomez? She asks. "Yea." I laugh. She laughs. "Thanks for coming out here. I guess I needed some company." She says, looking down then smiling at me. I smile. "I'm Stephanie, by the way." She says. "We can hang out sometime. My room number is 193 in the hotel. Cameron Dallas and Nash Grier share it with me." I say calmly. Her eyes become wide. "CAMERON DALLAS?!! I love him I SOO wanna date him I'm so obsessed with him he's hotttttf!" She says. "Hey you'd better take your hands off- he's ally's boyfriend." I say laughing. "Oh.. Okay." She shrugs, and her cheeks become hot red. "Haha I better get going." I say. "okay. I share a room by myself.. I never knew I was next door to you guys! I'm 195!" She says excitedly. I smile. "That's amazing! See ya later then?" I ask her. We stand up and she waves and I hug her. She smiles extremely big and jumps happily, and we walk to our hotel rooms.
