Chapter 9

Ava

I rolled over and picked up my phone the time read: 6:40 a.m. I put it back on the nightstand and put the pillow back over my face. I just need three more hours of sleep. I dozed backed to sleep and my phone vibrated I threw the pillow off my head and picked my phone up it was a text from Matt.

Matt: I miss you 😘.

Ava: How much?

Matt: Alot babe, you wanna link up when I get back?

Ava: It depends, what does link up mean?

Matt: you know like Netflix and chill 😝.

Ava:We can just watch Netflix.

Matt: okay that's cool babe.

Ava: I have to get ready for work so I'll talk to you later on tonight.

I got up out of my bed and made it up. I then proceed to the bathroom and did my personal hygiene I hopped out of the shower and grabbed my robe and put it over my body. I then walked to the mirror and grabbed my brush and put my hair in a high bun and pulled out a few pieces of hair to add some flare to it. Then I cleansed my face and brushed my teeth, when I was done I made my way to my closet and pulled out a black and white pencil skirt dress with some black red bottoms.

I then went to my vanity and decided on doing a simple look today. I then heard my phone ringing: *Ring,Ring,Ring* I answered the phone and put it on speaker without looking to see who was calling.

"Hello?"

"Hey, Ava this is Yazz."

"Oh, hey wassup?"

"I was calling to remind you to have all of the C.D.A paperwork finished and have it today so I can send it all off."

"Okay, I'll have it by today."

"Okay, thanks see you at 8."

"Okay, bye."

I finished my makeup I got up and got dressed I put lotion all over my arms and legs and grab a pair of black heels and put them in my feet. I then heard my phone ring once again I picked it up it was Rhonda I answered the phone.

"Hey girl so what you been up too."

"Nothing, girl I think I might start back dating."

"Girl, please tell me it's gone be that fine ass Mr.Chestnut cause girl he just to fine to pass up."

"No, girl he is engaged and I think I might start back talking to Matt."

"Really! You really gonna take him back ?"

"I just think I might, Rhon do you really want me to be lonely for the rest of my life?"

"No, but I just don't want you to get hurt again dealing with his ass. I don't know girl I just don't trust him."

"I know you don't that's why it's not your decision to make." The other end was completely silent when I said that I paused for a second.

"Rhon?.....Hello."

"I'm still here just do what makes you happy Ava I can't stop who you want to be with."

"Thanks Rhon I have to go to work, so talk to you later love ya."

"Mhm, love ya too girl."

The phone disconnected and I then took the phone and placed it in my purse I grabbed my keys and my briefcase and headed out the door.  I hopped in my car and headed to work the drive was a little bit longer because of the traffic. When I arrived at the office I got out of my car and pulled down my skirt and fluffed at it. I then heard my phone go off so I reached in my purse to grab it. I looked at who texted me it was Yazz.
