Perfect Paul

chapter 4 Karma Hits

Its been two years! two years since I last saw Paul. As I moved school. And I was about to get hit by karma.

*New school*

My new school was great; new people, new buildings and new crushes right? wrong I still truly liked Paul even though he put me in the friend zone and deep down I knew we would never date and I would never have my fairy tale ending with him I  just couldn't get over him. ahhhh !

When you start to have a crush on someone do you truly think about how that person might feel when they find out? most of the time the answer is no right? well I was just about to get a dose of my own medicine.

*Monday morning*

In science class again... boring. The dull white walls surrounding me and the laughter from the jolly students behind me. Its not easy being the newish kid that doesn't fit in with the others at your new school. But my luck was about to change... There was another new girl! Her short frame blocking the door way. She had beautiful long black hair with perfectly symmetrical eyes on her small round face. A big smile spread across her face when she looked at me. And I could have sworn there was a halo around her. This is my chance to finally have a best friend that I could cherish and create amazing memories with like in those girl movies. So I went over to her and started to make conversation with her; I found out her name was Claire and I found out that we actually had a lot in common like where we're from, our sense of fashion and our favourite genre of music. A straight away I felt a special connection with Claire. So at lunch time I  decided to introduce her to my "friends" who were far from happy for me.

*At lunch*

Sophie: hey guys

friends: hi...

Sophie: guys this is Claire. She started today and she is great

Friends: we cant believe you Sophie. How could you just replace us like that ? your mean, leave this group and don't come back! we don't want to be friends with you anymore!

Sophie: no guys in not replacing anyone why cant Claire join our group as well?

Friends: Sophie you chose Claire so you too aren't apart of the group byeeeee (giggles)

why are they doing this ? I'm not replacing them but maybe me finding Claire was fate.

*After school*

Claire wanted to go to the park to meet up with some boys that go to our school she said that she's good friends with them. So I said yes and we went. When we got there Claire introduced me to her friend Tom. He seemed nice he spoke a lot though and as I get shy very quickly I kept quite the whole time.

*Tuesday*

I got to school early so I could meet up with Claire and I saw her siting down with Tom. They would be a cute couple I thought.  However for the rest of the week Tom kept following us everywhere... I still felt quite uncomfortable around him and kept quite when he was around.

*Next week*

Claire: Omg!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sophiee guess what

Sophie: hey whats up ? why are you so excited?

Claire: Because tom just said he likes you ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!! you should totally date him.

Sophie: wait what??? ( no this cant be happening I'm still not over Paul and Tom really isn't my type and I'm always so uncomfortable around him) But he is always following us and talking to you I though he had a crush on you Claire.

Claire: he always follows us because he wants to get closer to you Sophie

oh no what am I going to do???

*at home*

Notification- Tom sent you a friend request

oh great I guess I have to accept otherwise it will be totally awkward at school tomorrow.

not even 1 second past and he already started to send me messages oh man I regret my choices

(messages)

Tom (t): heyyyyyyyyyyyy

Sophie (s): hi?

T: as you may already know I really like you........

s: um yeah the thing is....

T: so you wanna go on a date ?????????

S: the thing is I'm not ready sorry

T: oh that okay we can just be friends until your ready

S: ok

T: ok so lets get to know each other

S: ok

tom:  whats your favourite colour?

 what was your first pets name?

how old are you?

do you have any siblings?

oh wow this guy is really annoying I rejected him and he is still trying with me doesn't he understand what no means?

*next day*

so I told Claire about tom and she started laughing and said I was over reacting and that I should give him a chance but I didn't like him he was annoying and very talkative and he just wasn't....... Paul.

Tom told his friends that he liked me and nearly everyone knew and he kept messaging me and asking me to hangout my I always declined it just didn't feel right. His friends started to send me messages from him when we were in class and at break times he would still follow us around.

*at home*

my older brother Kaidon was home so I went to him for some advice. I never used to be close to but as we got older we started talking more about dates and stuff so explained to whole situation with Tom and I told about Paul for the first time and do you know what he said!

Kaidon: well Sophie it looks like Karma(laughs)

Sophie: what do you mean karma? are you kidding me Kaidon?

Kaidon: Look soph when you liked that Paul you probably annoyed him sooo much with all those letters and bothering his friends. And its happening to you(laughs) Tom annoys you and tries to follow you around and speak to all your friends. so you cant be anfry with him because you did the exact same things to Paul

Sophie: your right... I never realised

I cant believe it Kaidon is totally right I never thought about how Paul might of felt about me. I feel extremely guilty but at least I know now. As for Tom there will never be anything between us so the best thing the both of us is if I leave Claire and go back to my other friends because Tom wont leave. But I'm glad I met Claire and this happened because it really made me think about how I should treat my potential future crushes....... haha
