Zach's POV

“Yes I have that class, just so I could have a full schedule, but now I might go because you seem to like that class.” I told her part of the truth. She wouldn't believe me if I told her I was like a prodigy at something. We took out seats, mine next to hers, out English teacher 'Mr. Cox did not have assigned seats. He said it was such a hassle, he could just get an administrator to help. “Ahem,” I heard a cough in front of me to see Mr. Cox, “Well, well, well, to whom do I owe the pleasure to for bringing you to class today?, your parents, or the principle?” he asked almost pleased. “My girlfriend actually, she likes to keep her grades up so I thought I would try to do the same, for her.” As soon as I said that, I heard a combinations of 'awwwwes' and 'that's so sweet' from all the girls in the class, except Meg. “And who would your 'girlfriend' be?” Mr. Cox asked not believing me. “Well, Mr. Cox, why don't you go to your grade book, I’ll give you three guesses.” I suggested while leaning back in my chair.

“Is it Stephanie,” I shook my head, what an idiot, he started at the beginning of the alphabet. “Amanda then?” “Nope,” I said making the 'p' pop. “One final guess, Mr. Cox, you can also get help from the guys in the class.” he seemed to be thinking about who else would I date, three jocks went to the front of the class to look at me, “Who is it Collins?Anyone we know?” they ask me and I just give them death glares and made them go back to the seats. “I got it!” Mr. Cox shouted breaking the silence, “It's Brittney!” “No it's not,” I crushed his excitement, “Did you not hear I said she has like perfect grades and always has to do things early.” I said looking at Meg and squeezed her hand. After I look at her, all the girls turn their head to see what I was looking at. “I know it, it's her, the ugly geek isn't it?” Abbie, another cheerleader asked with disgust in her voice.

I look back at Meg and she looks like she will cry soon, so I speak up. “Yes, Abigail, my girlfriend is Meg,” I put emphasis on her name. “and she is not just any geek, she is beautiful and talented and understanding, things you will never have.” I stood up and brought Meg with,” Mr. Cox, may I go in the hall for a minute with Meg?, please?” “yes, you may, be back when you can.” “Thank you” I say exiting with Meg's and our stuff on my shoulders. I set them on the ground near the closet locker and went to hug Meg. “Are you okay?” I asked and then kissed the top of her head. I think that broke her because, she started to cry into my shirt leaving it wet where her tears landed. “What's wrong?” I say starting to worry as I lift her on the half lockers in the hall. “Nothing, I'm fine,” she said with a little smile. “Please don't lie to me, just tell me if it's something I can help with.” I comforted her. “All they think I am is just some smart mainbrace who isn't pretty and cannot in anyway be your girlfriend, so I had another panic attack thinking about why would you want to be my boyfriend.” she said wiping her tears with the back of her hand. I took her in my arms and started to comfort her, “Don't you ever think that way, I want to be with you because you're you and I can't think of myself being with anyone but you...” I said before I pulled her away to look her in the eyes. “...you are smart, beautiful, amazing, and I am your boyfriend and nobody can change that.” and I kissed her on the top of her head and walked us to class again.
