For a moment, neither spoke; Adam lifted his head up in a quiet debate with himself as Harvey patiently waited for an explanation.

"I... I can't," Adam shook his head stubbornly.

"Can't... Or won't?" Harvey challenged in a calm and quiet tone. Adam shivered and leaned back in the hand that supported him.

"N-No, I-I..." His voice failed him, and he clamped his hands together, falling mute. Harvey uncurled his hand and flattened it laterally, allowing Adam to sit comfortably in the center of his palm.

"I know you've suffered a great deal, and you're really haunted by it, but I can't help you if you don't tell me what happened," Harvey pointed out. Adam rocked back and forth on his haunches, shaking his head.

"I-It's too much," he whimpered.

"Then tell me a part of it," Harvey soothed, rubbing Adam's back again. Adam cast his eyes down, for a while not speaking. "Please Adam," Harvey pleaded. "I want to help you but if you don't-"

"It... It was-it was raining." Harvey immediately hushed himself up, as Adam continued avoiding his lavender eyes. "I-It was a n-normal day, n-nothing seemed out of the sort. I hadn't talked to Ty in a while, or-or any of the guys, just-just the guys at the office. They did act a little weirder than normal, but I thought they were a little awkward from a dare we made us all do."

"And what was the dare?" Harvey murmured. Adam looked up and tilted his head.

"Is that really important?" He challenged. Harvey shrugged.

"Could be; you never know," he answered honestly. Adam rolled his eyes a little in acceptance and sighed.

"We rode a water hover board off the roof of the office building." Harvey's eyes widened at the hazardous dare, but didn't say anything.

"... So what happened after that?"

"Hey Barney!" Adam shouted. "Have you seen Red?"

"No I hasn't dude!" Barney shouted back with his incorrect grammar. Adam sighed and pulled his headphones off, getting out of his seat.

"Dude, he was suppose to record with me an hour ago!" He complained.

"Maybe he's still bummed out from almost falling off," Ross suggested.

"But that was yesterday!" Adam whined. "It was just a joke!"

"Adam, yanking on the cord-- no matter how playfully-- when someone's that high up, is dangerous," Max pointed out, rather pointedly.

"Yeah dude!" Barney agreed, leaving his office room and looking through the glass of Adam's. Adam rolled his eyes and opened the door, jokingly hitting the peeping tom.

"Whoops," he grinned, saying it in a not-so-sorry tone. Barney only stuck his tongue out and gave him the finger, to which Adam shoved him good-naturedly to. "Whatever, I'm a go find him.," he sighed dramatically, heading down the hall. All of his exasperation dissipated however, when a woman standing next to a vending machine with a baby in her arms made him smile.

"What are you doing here?" He asked, leaning to peck her with a kiss.

"I thought I'd drop by," the woman smiled. "Plus Mason wanted to see his father." Adam smiled and gently took the baby out of her arms, cooing softly and snuggling the swaddled infant.

"Aw, does widdle Mason wanna see the office?" He cooed. The woman laughed and kissed Adam on the forehead, fondling the back of his head and gently gripping his soft curly hair.
