Y/N P.O.V.
I scrunch my eyes in pain as my back was thrown against the side of the building. I stagger up and look to the side where my brother is crying over my moms dead body. I then look back to my dad running to him out of pure anger, I jump and form my hands into fists. Before I can reach him my kagune stabbed far into his chest. "I didn't even notice it come out." I said out of shock landing on the ground as my bloody hands cover my mouth. Rough coughing snapped me out of my thoughts, looking up as I saw my dad spitting blood out of his mouth. I run up to him starting to tear up even more, "I'm sorry Papa I- I didn't mean to." I said as I was starting to cry, even though I hated the man with all my heart it was still feeling remorse for the state I put him in. He put his hand to the side of my face holding it so softly, "I'm sorry Y/N... but I had to." This made me boil up from inside, because all you ever wanted to do was live a normal life with all of them in it. "No you didn't! We could've all lived together like a happy family! Mommy was only human she cant live anymore!" I yelled as I stabbed him over and over again. "We're not normal, and we never will be." He said before blacking out from the lack of blood. I just stared at him in silence, ringing in my ears getting louder as time passes. The sounds of of sobs broke me out of my state of shock, the ringing still there. "Sairen! Are you okay." You ask in panic, but all he can do is keep crying over her dead body. As I was about to tell him everything will be 'alright' I hear a women telling some investigators the location of the disgusting scene. I quickly pull my brother up on his feet to get ready and run, I make use of my kagune to pick up my fathers body and throw it at the two men as a distraction for us to get away. With the little body strength I had, grabbed my little brother and jumped onto the roof of the building slipping on the edge. "Come on." I whisper to Sairen to make sure they don't hear what way we're going. I jump a few roofs over stumbling every jump, but the adrenaline helping me find my way to each building, I find a stop looking down at the distance I had to jump, my face going pale tears building up in my eyes. Jumping down I then take us to the busy street putting a lot of thought into making my kagune go away quickly. "Hurry up!" I yell to him. We encountered one of the men from earlier, running as fast as we can. As I think we got away from them, I lose his hand in the crowd.

After hours and hours of looking for Sairen and hiding I rest on a staircase tired and hungry. Shivering from the things I saw and did. Why did it have to happen to me. I go to rest on the wall opposite of the door and rest my head against the wall.

I woke up from the 'dream', it doesn't even scare me anymore what's the point of calling it a nightmare, right? I rubbed my face as I felt cold sweat and tears running down. "Damn." I say to myself laughing at the ceiling. I got up from the couch, I fell asleep on last night from watch the news to lazy to walk to my bed.
I got up went to my bathroom, staring at myself in the mirror not satisfied with the mess I woke up as. I sighed heavily as I did my morning routines.Once I was done getting dressed I opened the the double doors to the little balcony and stepped outside.I took a big breath inhaling the fresh air looking around a bit, I went back inside and closed the doors."Another slow painful day." I said to myself rubbing my eyes.I went downstairs, opening the door to be scared by Yoshimura in my face.I fell backwards from my freight with a loud thump, "Good morning Y/n-san" He said "Morning." I greeted coming up from the floor rubbing my butt from the impact."Do you mind getting Touka-san up while I open up the shop." He asked me "Not at all Yoshi, I will be on my way." I said teasingly knowing he doesn't like the nickname that I gave him. I run back upstairs to avoid hearing the complaint. As I get to my destination I bang my fist on the door. "Touka-chan wake up." I yell. When I get no answer I decide to twist the door knob to check if it's locked, and surprisingly it not. "Hehe."I said as I opened her door and found her on the couch. I tip-toed over to her and jumped on her, falling off as we both screamed. 100% sure mine was from joy though. "What the hell is wrong with you."she yelled at me "I'm perfectly fine." I tell her with a big smile "Are you sure about that." She said "Yep." I said with a pop on the p.
I got up but she tackled me to the ground "Your so stupid Y/n-san." she said with an irritated look on her face. "Manger asked me if I could wake you up for work... So get ready."
"Fine I'll see you down there." She said. "Bye love!" I yelled closing the door.
Touka's P.O.V.
'I swear if Y/N-san wasn't such a somehow lovable person I would really punch the living crap out of her.
I don't get how shes like this, when Yoshimura said she has a rough past before she came to anteiku. I mean she's a highly rated ghoul and very strong in combat. She goes from all sunshine and rainbows to rude quickly. Her existence is frustrating to understand period.'
"Why is she so fucking complicated to figure out!" I yelled.
"She's basically one of the most feared ghouls in almost every ward and she acts like a complete angel when she is around us, oh but she's the complete opposite to others." I said rolling my eyes talking to myself frustrated.
"I probably look stupid talking like this" I said smacking my forehead as I head downstairs.
