Chiron sat at the head of the ping pong table, his stallion legs backed up into his magical wheelchair, which made him appear as though he was a mortal man. Mr. D sat next to him, swishing around a half full glass of Diet Coke as he looked up at the ceiling, as if attempting to ignore the fact that he was surrounded by demigods. Only a select few of the cabin head councilors were present, including Annabeth, who looked very different from the last time I had seen her; her eyes were slightly puffed and red, the glint in her stormy grey irises distant. Next to her, was a tall, muscular looking girl with light brown hair and hard brown eyes. She was already intimidating as it was, but with a full suit of armor on, she looked downright terrifying. There was a chilled looking boy with blonde hair and bright blue eyes, as well as a girl with smooth brown hair and bright green eyes that looked like the foliage of a forest. Next was a tall, lanky individual with brown hair and blue eyes, and finally, another tall male with strange violet eyes and blonde hair.
I sat as far away as possible from the other demigods, with my mother by my side, watching the others carefully. My mind wondered where Sol could be, and more importantly, why I was here. Of course, Chiron would want to hear what had happened to Mico and what we have found during the quest, and possibly why I thought it was okay to bring an gryphon into the camp.
"We have many important things to discuss today. I would invite the demigods of the smaller cabins, but as of right now, some cabins have not appointed a head councilor to their cabin, so that leaves this handful. Also, today, due to Nico's absences, I have invited Affinity Darwin to represent the Hades Cabin for this meeting."
"I guess it helps that she's the only other child of Hades in existence." The elfish-looking, lanky boy smiled.
"Yes, thank you, Travis." Chiron nodded to the boy, before turning to the rest of the campers. "Given Affinity has been absent for the last couple of weeks, I think it's only fair that we catch her up to speed on the events that have taken place recently."
"Well, for starters, the weather control around camp is back to normal. No major weather has been able to affect us, which is great news when it comes to training and battle drills." The armored girl reported.
"And when it comes to the strawberry fields." The green-eyed girl added.
"Yeah, and we haven't had any monsters break in for a couple days." The boy with blonde hair and blue eyes mentioned. "So that's great news."
I nodded, crossing my arms and leaning back slightly so to relieve some of the fatigue of my back, only to regret the decision when the pressure applied to my bruises sent a painful shock throughout my entire body. "There's something else, isn't there?" I questioned, my voice still hoarse from sleep as I nodded towards Annabeth, who had not made any comments thus far, nor did it seem that she was paying attention.
At that, the room fell complete silent. All the other campers seemed to don sad expression. Even the threatening looking, armored chick seemed to squirm uncomfortably. Finally, Mr. D looked up from his drink, glancing at me with an indifferent look. "Peter Jackson disappeared while you were gone. He went home after rescuing you, and a few days later, his mom called us saying he had gone missing."
"Percy." Annabeth practically hissed. Her eyes landed on me, flashing like a violent thunderstorm. "We have people looking all over the country. Thalia Grace and the Hunters, his half-brother Tyson, several dozen satyrs and thousands of nymphs are searching for him, but he's completely disappeared."
I blinked in surprise, glancing at my mother, which didn't do much, considering my mom didn't actually know who Percy Jackson was, but I knew by the dark look in her eyes that she could sense the depth of the issue.
