Unexpected - Chapter 4

The taxi slowly stopped at a big house that was blearing out with music. This was the place.
I quickly adjusted my hair and dress and climbed out of the car.
Me and Liv walked up to the house, followed my some our friends.

It was Ollie's party and Liv couldn't wait to catch a glimpse of him. She didn't want to come alone so I said I'd go with her. Besides, I might be able to have a chat with Ethan. I thought for a minute ...
Never going to happen.

We knocked on the door and it opened. To my surprise, Ethan was standing there, looking straight at us. All I could do was stutter. He smiled and I carried on stuttering.

Eventually he spoke. "Hey. Ollie's just outside"
I didn't care where Ollie was. Liv dragged me outside and I looked back at Ethan hopelessly, who was looking straight back at me.

As Ethan said, Ollie was outside, chatting to some of his mates.
As soon as he saw Liv he stopped talking and stared.
Liv gave him a weak smile and looked at me with an excited face. I immediately knew that he liked her and I think she did too. Great, now I'm gonna be the lonely one.

He walked towards her slowly. Liv looked at me.
"Go!" I said putting on the best smile I could. "Really? Are you sure?" She said with hope in her eyes.
"Of course! Don't worry about me. I'll find someone to hang around with" I knew that what I said wasn't true. I was going to be hanging around with myself for the rest of the night.

I know it didn't look like it but I was happy for Liv. I really was.

At 8:00 I decided that there was no point staying. I saw Liv and told her and she was absolutely fine with it. She was with Ollie, dancing and joking about.

I got my coat and turned to the door.
"Leaving already?" Came a voice from behind me.
I turned around to see Ethan smiling.
"Uh" I stumbled "yeah, there's not much point me being here"
"Come on! Let's go and dance or something?" He said.
I was screaming inside.
Ethan Cooper had just asked me to dance with him. Not any of the other girls, me.
