Well here we go, new home new diary. So just to catch you up earth has been deserted. And no I don’t mean it’s covered in ice cream and other sweets. Everyone good from earth has moved to a new planet. So basically the demons have taken over Earth so all the humans had to move to Dymonde. Dymonde is a planet that the world governments have been preparing if for some reason everyone would have to go somewhere safe. Basically they furnished it with everything, houses, schools, cars, stores, and anything else you need, even pets. So now this huge catastrophe has happened and we’re all here. It’s really not that bad, it’s just weird to move someplace new and have everything exactly the same. And yes I mean exactly, the creators of Dymonde made it an exact replica of Earth. Well enough for now, more later.

“Emya, you here?” I hear my best friend Serafina yells from outside my window.

“Nope, I died.” I yell back.

“Come on were gonna be late.” She sounds annoyed but I hear her laugh.

“Ok okay, one second, let me find my shoes.” I shout through the window. I look outside and Fina isn’t there.

“You don’t have to shout, I’m right here.” I yelp as I hear a voice behind me. I turn around and there she is leaning casually against the doorway.

“Don’t do that!” I say as she laughs.

“Just hurry up, I don’t know about you but I really don’t want to be late for our first day of school.” She replies sarcastically, rolling her eyes.

“How’d you get in here anyways?”

“I have magical powers.” Fina says mystically while holding out my sneakers.

“Well I know that, oh thanks, but seriously.” I grab my sneakers and slip them on.

“There’s this magical thing called a front door, and your mom opened it ‘cuz she didn’t want us to wake up your sister.” She sits on my bed while I run around looking around for my backpack and everything else I seem to have misplaced.

“Oh yeah, I forgot Marissa was asleep.” I reply as I finally find my iPod and put it in my pocket. “Where’d I put it?”

“Put what?” Fina asks as I shuffle through my desk drawers.

“My phone.” I say while I look in the bottom of my closet. I stand up and just stand trying to remember where I had it last.

“Emya!” I hear my mom yell from downstairs.

“Yeah?”

“Why is your phone in the fridge?”

“You found it! I’ll be down in a second mom.”

“Why is your phone in the fridge?” Fina asks as she grabs her bag and we walk downstairs.

“I was making a sandwich last night and it kept buzzing. I didn’t know what to do so I put it in the fridge.” I reply casually.

“Really Em? You got issues.”

“Yep, that’s why you love me.” I say as we enter the kitchen.

“Oh that’s why, I was starting to forget.” She says as I grab my phone and a banana.

“How sweet. Bye mom!” I shout down the hall as I start to peel my banana

“Don’t yell. Your sister is asleep.” My dad comes into the kitchen to get a refill on his morning coffee.

“Sorry dad, I’ll see ya after school.” I give him a kiss on the cheek and grab Fina’s wrist as I walk towards the garage.

“Geez let me go.” Fina complains.

“Fine, don’t see my brand new car.” I try to act normal but I’m too excited.

“You got a new car!?” She jumps up and down excitedly.

“Girls.” I hear my dad from the kitchen.

“Sorry.” Fina and I say at the same time. We walk into the garage and I flip on the light. Sitting in the middle is my polished, perfect, and new black Lamborghini.

“Whoa.” Is all Fina can mutter in her awe of my car.

“I know right!” I can’t help but be proud of my new car, it has actually managed to shut Fina up for a minute.

“Where’d you get a new car? How did you afford it? You didn’t steal it did you?” She asks frantically trying to catch up with herself.

“My parents bought it for me with money they have been saving.” I say answering all of her questions at once.

She looks at me with pleading eyes. I knew she would want to drive my car, and I plan on letting her but not without getting something in return.

“Emya please.” She starts to beg.

“Please what?” I ask trying to act like I have no idea what she’s talking about.

“Can I pretty please drive your absolutely perfect car?” She says as she walks towards my car, a longing look on her face.

“On one condition.” I reply as soon as she has walked all the way around and is at the driver’s side door.

“I’ll do anything.” This is a new side of Fina. I finally have something she wants.

“My parents don’t like the Oak tree in our front yard and they can’t afford to get it removed. Burn it down and you can drive the car to school and back home.”

“Oh ok, that’s easy. Let’s go.” We walk out the garage door and go to the front tree.

Fina looks up and down the street like she’s about to cross it. Once it’s clear she faces the tree and lifts her hands. All of a sudden fire bursts out of her hands and licks all the way around the tree, from top to bottom. She holds her hands up for about a minute and by this time the fire has gotten so bright I have to look away. I turn back and the tree is completely gone, the only thing left is a pile of ashes.

“Perfect. Let’s go.” I try to act casual but every time I see Fina’s power I am in shock, it’s so beautiful. I mean all my friends have powers and they are all beautiful but I mean being able to burn anything if you just concentrate is amazing right? Well I guess you have to see it to believe it.

“Yay!” Fina runs back to the garage. By the time I get to the car she is in the driver’s seat, has the car started, and the radio is on. I hop in the passenger door and toss my backpack in the back seat.

“Let’s go.” Before I finish my sentence she has the car out of the driveway and headed in the direction of school.
