P R O L O G U E

I set my stuff down on my bed. I sighed and looked out of my apartment window. A new life. A new start. I had already missed my mother, but this is what I wanted to do. I wanted to be a surgeon.

Tomorrow would be my first day as an intern at Seattle Grace Hospital. I'd been excited for that day, but I was nervous. What if they'd seen my modeling in the magazines? Would they criticize me? Most likely.

One of my fellow interns, Alex or something-- I forgot his name --was on the same plane as me. We chatted for a while, but he seemed like a douche. I tried talking to him, but he'd just talk about himself or brush me off his shoulder.

I rubbed my eyes and started hanging up some photographs on my empty grey walls. I was really interested into photography. Most of the pictures I took were of myself, I'm not cocky, I just like modeling.

The sky was orange, which meant it was almost night. I went to my kitchen and made some Easy Mac. I ate it quickly, and by the time I finished it was 10:00. I went to bed, excited for the day that was going to come.
