~8 Years Later~

I walked in the corridors towards the gardens. Caspian and I had been a great team keeping the peace in Narnia, however that still didn't keep the evil at bay.

There was evil growing and Caspian was planning on taking a ship with his best crew to search for the seven lost lords. Caspian wanted me to stay with our children, because he thought it wouldn't be safe.

Yes, Caspian and I had two children. We had a seven year old boy named Xavier after my brother and a five year old girl named Gemma after Mrs. Burkes.

Xavier looked just like my brother. It hurt me at first, but with Caspian's help I overcame that pain. Gemma looks exactly like Caspian with her long brown hair and chocolate brown eyes.

"Mother!"

I reached the gardens to find Gemma and Xavier. I bent down to embrace them both.

"How are my little children?" I asked with a smile.

"I'm not little, I'm seven years old." Xavier replied as he puffed out his chest.

I chuckled at his response. I heard a voice from behind us. "Oh no, he's grown to be a man."

"Father!"

I turned to see Caspian. He wore a lose tunic that showed his broad chest. He rolled up the sleeves showing off his muscular arms. He picked up Gemma while Xavier stood by his side. I walked over to them with a smile. I was so blessed and fortunate to have such a great husband and children.

"You're a prince which means when you're older you'll be the king." Caspian explained.

"I'll be a strong King." Xavier said. "And I'll protect you all from all the evil things out there."

"Of course." Caspian said with a chuckle. "Father must leave on a business trip. Please tell me you'll take care of your mother and sister."

"Aye sir." Xavier replied with a salute.

"Bye Gemma." Caspian said giving her a kiss on her forehead.

"Daddy, no!" She cried. "I want to go!"

Caspian then brought over a servant and handed Gemma to her. I assured Gemma that he'd be back. After singing a quick lullaby that Reepicheep sang to me when I was a child, she fell asleep.

"Take her back to her chambers." I ordered the servant.

She nodded and took her away. Caspian then told Xavier to go to his chambers, leaving the two of us.

"Caspian." I managed to say. "Please be careful."

"I will, my love." He said as he gave me a passionate kiss. "I love you."

"I love you too." I replied. "Why can't I come with you? I can fight, remember?"

"I cannot risk bringing you, I can't guarantee your safety."

"Please, love? I can't stay here waiting for your return." I protested.

He gave me one last hug before pulling away. I know he wanted me to be safe and to be with the kids. I know he didn't want to say it, but I knew what he was thinking. One of us had to stay behind just in case the other didn't make it.

"I need you to stay here."

He left no space for protesting so I gave up and agreed to staying. He thanked me before giving me one last kiss. With that he walked out towards his ship. I hastily made my way to our chambers.

I changed into a pair of trousers with a white tunic and black vest on top. I packed clothes in a small bag and made my way towards the ship. Forgive me Caspian, but I cannot wait for you.

I saw the huge ship and just at the edge of the town I saw Caspian and his crew walking towards me. I quickly hopped on the ship and hid inside one of the barrels.

"Ouch!"

My heart beat quickened. Who said that? Was someone from the crew here? I peered over the next barrel and opened the lid. I couldn't believe who I had found hiding in the barrel.
