"This was great Edward, thanks." You grinned as you finished the last of your coffee.
"My pleasure Y/N, I needed to have my daily dose of 'I'm totally not a vampire having teenage problems.'" He said sarcastically.
You laughed. "See, being normal isn't all that bad."
Edward nodded with a silly grin. "Need a ride home? Or at least to the territory line."
You sighed, hating that your best friend, Edward Cullen, could never see your house, or the small garden you'd spent years trying to grow. You nodded. "I wish this whole vampire/werewolf war wasn't going on."
"It's been going on for hundreds of years now, just be happy we can see each other in forks, okay?" He offered you a sad smile.
You nodded. "Okay."
The drive to the territory line was quiet, the radio playing softly in the background. Edward stopped at the line, turning off the engine.
You looked up to see Jacob leaning against his motorcycle, his face set in a hard stare. You frowned, thanking Edward one more time before stepping out of his car.
You made your way to Jacob, your head down. "So you ditched the pack bonfire to hangout with a leech?" He sneered.
You shook your head, rolling your eyes. "Jacob, he's my best friend, and as my boyfriend I expect you to be okay with me hanging out with friends." You glared.
A growl rippled through Jacob's chest. "But you're my girlfriend! And my imprint! You're mine! Not Edward's!"
"Jacob Black!" You gasped and turned to see if Edward was there. You were thankful to see his silver Volvo XC60 gone. "You're being ridiculous! I'm not anyone's property! I love you, and I want to be with only you. Edward is my best friend, and only my best friend." You huffed.
You began walking in the direction of your house. "Where are you going Y/N!" Jacob called after you.
"I'm not talking to you until you get over yourself Black!" You continued walking. You ignored the sound of Jacob's motor coming to life, not even a second later Jacob was riding slowly beside you.
"You can't walk all the way home, that's at least 6 miles away." He mumbled.
"So?"
"Y/N get on the bike." Jacob sighed.
"No." You said defiantly.
"Please?"
"No. Jacob I'm mad at you right now, let me be." You said firmly.
"I'm sorry. Y/N, listen to me." Jacob grabbed you by your forearm. "I'm sorry. I'm... I'm just scared that you'll leave me for Edward." He said, sadness lacing his voice.
You stopped in your tracks and turned to face your lover. "Why on earth would you said that?"
Jacob shrugged. "Because it's true. You're always hanging out with him, and sometimes I feel like you like him more than me."
"Jacob. Jacob look at me." You cupped his face in your hands, feeling the stubble starting to grow along his jawline. "I love you Jacob, and only you, I would never leave you. Okay?"
"Okay. And I'm sorry." Jacob nodded slightly.
You smiled. "It's okay. I love you."
"I love you more."
