Rachel was walking in the main hall of NYADA, she was going to her singing lesson with Mr. St.James. It was weird for her to call him like that, she knew him, they had a past, she couldn't help but calling him just Jesse.

He was pretty good as a teacher and lessons with him were good, he made everyone feel comfortable, or at least that's how Rachel felt. Her and Jesse were on the same page on everything, same songs and musicals taste, same methods. Rachel was Jesse's perfect and favorite student and Jesse was the perfect teacher for Rachel.

While she was wandering in her thoughts she noticed a girl posting up some paper sheets on the notice-board. It was something about some upcoming auditions. Rachel was curious so she stepped forward and got closer to read those sheets.

"Are you interested in those?!" The girl noticed Rachel and turned her head to ask her the question.

"Yes, I guess so. What's it about? Which auditions?! Someone's doing a musical at NYADA?!" Rachel asked

"No, better. Do you anything about Derek Shaiman? He's a young director and made his Broadway debut last year with a musical about the life of Marilyn Monroe. I know that because I starred in it, I got the lead, I played Marilyn. But I'm sorry we haven't officially met, I'm Alexandra, I'm a senior, this is my last year at NYADA. What's your name? - Alexandra

"Nice to meet you Alexandra, I'm Rachel and this is my first year, I'm still a freshman. And yeah I've heard of him, I know about his Marylyn Monroe musical he did last year. I really wanted to see the show but I was still in Ohio, I'm from Lima, definitely not a cool place and so I missed it. I can't believe I'm talking to the star of that show! How was it? I mean playing the lead, being on Broadway? You've been so lucky!" -Rachel

"Yes I was lucky but I worked hard to get there. I nailed my audition. He practically told me I was the one he was looking for the role, I was the one so he chose me and I made my Broadway debut. It was insane, when you're on that stage, singing, dancing and acting, it's like the whole world disappears and it's just you and that stage. Do you understand me? Even if you haven't tried it yet, you're here so Broadway is in your plans." -Alexandra

"I've been dreaming to become a Broadway star since I was born, I've dedicated my whole life to this dream. Being here in NY, a student at NYADA, this is already a dream come true for me and it's the first step that will lead me to my final destination: Broadway." - Rachel

" I admire your determination Rachel, it's the first important thing to make it, stay focused on your dream and work hard to make it true. That's what I did and I hope you never change, your moment will come. " - Alexandra

"Thank you, you're really the first nice person I meet here. Everyone is so competitive and disrespect me only because I'm from Ohio and also because they all listen to what Ms July says. She hates me."-Rachel

"Ms July is your dance teacher?! Oh my god, she's like born to terrorize students, that's what she loves doing. She's though and a bitch but believe me, it helps. I was her student too and if I got that long it's because of her. I know it sounds like a giant lie now but when you're going to have your first audition and you'll win the role, well then you know you own her a lot." -Alexandra

"I guess I'll see but for now she's just making my life a living hell, I'm doing my best and working hard to improve but she won't recognize it! But I know I need to stay strong and prove her I can do it." -Rachel

"Yes that's what she wants to see, she won't be satisfied untill she sees you're ready. I know she's harsh but that's because she wants her students to become the best of the best." -Alexandra
