8. A very extraordinary thanksgiving

*Rachel's voice over*

I've never been more happy about thanksgiving. Since I'm vegan, me and my dads have never really had a real thanksgiving dinner cause you know as people say, it's no thanksgiving without the turkey! So this year it's time to have a real thanksgiving dinner. I'm the only woman in the house so the cooking it's up to me, even though Kurt offered to help me, I really want to do this on my own. It's the very first thanksgiving that I'm actually going to celebrate, as a grown up indipendent new yorker, so I want to cook and prepare everything for our dinner.

It's going to be a great occasion for a reunion with all my friends, since I invited over Puck, Quinn and Mercedes who are not in New York, then Santana and Sarah and Brittany who's obviously coming here from Louisville and Artie who's in New York too. I think Sam is probably spending the holiday with his family back home and I heard Tina and Mike are going back to Lima. I'm sorry they can't be with us, but there will be other chances, plus my house is not that big for all those people. Everything is ready, I just need to start cooking, it's going to be a big challange for me, I'll cook the turkey, I have to or it won't be a real thanksgiving. I'm going to make the best thanksgiving dinner ever, also thanks to the useful advice of my collection of recipes from MasterChef. Get ready for a fabulous Thanksgiving.

Rachel was standing in the kitchen holding a book of recipes and checking that they got all the stuff on the list at home.

"Are you really going to do that?!" Kurt

"You mean cooking a wonderful thanksgiving dinner? Yes,indeed I am." Rachel

"You know we could just order take away or if you prefer from catering. You won't have to go through all this pressure and besides you're not really an expert in cooking. It's not like you cooked a whole dinner before." Kurt

"I know, this is something new for me but it doesn't scare me, I need to try new things, I'm an adult now and I need more experience. First thing is to jump in such a challenge, cook a whole dinner for more than 2 people. I can do it Kurt. And besides seriously take away for thanksgiving dinner?! Hell no this is a special occasion." Rachel

"Ok as you wish Rachel, but then don't tell me I was right. I even offered my help but you declined." Kurt

"I want to do this on my own Kurt, it's very important for me and I'm so excited so really thank you but I don't want any help." Rachel

"You must be so strong to have the courage to actually cook a turkey!" Kurt

"I won't eat it of course but yes I'll cook it, a perfect delicious tipycal thanksgiving turkey. You all will be surprised." Rachel

"I hope that turkey doesn't kill us all." Kurt

"Yeah that's so funny that I can't stop laughing. Have a little faith in me. Anyway I'd appreciate if you, Blaine and Finn went to the grocery store to buy some more vegetables , it's for the turkey and then if you could go buy some alcoholic drinks maybe?!" Rachel

"Okay, we're already on our way so no worries we'll deal with all that." Kurt

"Thank you Kurt. Now please if you don't mind, I want to be left alone with our friend turkey here, so I could start working for the dinner." Rachel

"Okay, well, I hope you and the turkey have a good time." Kurt

"We will, won't we?!" Rachel looking down at the turkey on the kitchen counter and then caressing it.

"That was creepy. I better go. See you later." Kurt

"See you later Kurt. We'll miss you. Eww you're sticky turkey and so cold. I think I won't touch you again. Oh god I can feel the smell of dead meat. Please Rachel don't throw up, you can do it. It's not like you're killing it cause it's already dead so you just need to cook it." Rachel took a deep breath. "Let's get this done!"
