The beginning of an ending

Chapter 2

Yoko skipped school the next day as she woke up with puffy eyes. She sulked as her brother laughed at her while her older sister fumed around her.

"Shut up, Tenkou-nii." She threw a pillow from the couch at her brother as he avoided it.

"Got rejected, baka sister?" He stood up and mess her hair.

"Tenkou!" Their older sister, Mai scolded the brother as she lay Yoko down to rest. "You are a girl, Yoko. Take care of yourself." Mai sigh as she place soaked tea bags on Yoko's eyes.

"I didn't mean to. I just feel asleep without realizing." Yoko complained as she relax. "Guess i won't be going to school today." She said in a sing song voice as her sister shook her head.

"Fine. Just once ne? Okasan will be angry if she knows you skip school for such a small issue." Mai said as she rushed Tenkou to school. "Stop standing there and go to school, Tenkou. You are going to be late."

Tenkou complained as he bit his bread and went to wear his shoe. "How unfair. I want to skip school too." He turn around only to face a scary looking Mai. "I-Iteki masu!" He grabbed his bag and runs out of the house.

Mai shook her head and close the door. "Geez... Yoko will you be alright being alone at home?" She look at her sister from the hallway. Yoko showed a thumbs up sign and grin.

'Score' Yoko thought to herself.

"Don't forget to do the laundry and feed Momo alright?" Mai collected her stuff and went off to work.

Momo was their pet dog. It was resting outside the house as Mai went off. Yoko sat up and called out for Momo. "Momo! Breakfast." She yelled out loud as she switch on the tv.

Momo ran into the house throught the side door and licked Yoko's face. She laughed as she rub Momo's ears and hug Momo.

"Good boy." She stood up and took out dog food and place it on the dog plate as Momo waited happily and gobble up his food as soon as she walk off to the fridge to get milk.

She smiled as she drink her milk while watching Momo eating. After finishing her drink, she ate hear breakfast and lay on the couch again. "Ah.... This is life." She grins and watched tv till it was noon.

By 12pm, she stood up and cleared her plates. She played with Momo for awhile before going for shower.

She was resting in the bathtun when her cellphone rang. Reluctantly, she got up and wrap herself before answering her phone. "Moshi moshi~ Yo, Fumi." She grin and covered another ear as she held the phone far from her. Fumi was apparently scolding her for not coming to school and nto informing her. She could hear Yuuka sigh behing Fumi.

" Ma... Its not like i wanted to skip. My eyes is puffy like a goldfish so i am resting at home." After several minutes of being nagged, Yoko agreed to go for her part time job and closed the phone.

She changed into a short jeans and a punkish top. As she was combing her hair, Momo scratches her room door and barks. She open the door only to be attacked by Momo's licking on her face. She laughed and carries Momo up avoiding his licks. "Bad boy. You just had breakfast." Momo drool on her face as she sat up wiping his drool off.
