The beginning of an ending

Chapter 4

The first encounter

After class, they went to work.

"Yoko chan. It is better to avoid Minami senpai."

Yuuka said quietly as they left school.

"Why? Is it because of this morning's incident? Don't worry. I won't let loose like last time."

Yoko smile as she twirl a small part of her hair.

Yuuka pat Yoko's head and warn her again.

"Yoko. Dont. We might have to fight against Nami. We can't make any more enemies."

Fumi stand near the door waiting for them to leave.

"Yoko, you know that we are right. We are not who we used to be. You say you want to have a normal high school life right? So just avoid him."

"If normal high school life means we have to be afraid of being bullied then i don't want it. We used to be able to talk to guys normally so why the restrictions now?"

Yuuka and Fumi smiled.

"Because that is how girls are suppose to be." They said together.

"Being weak doesn't mean we are useless, Yoko. It is a guy's job to protect girls."

Yuuka continued.

"Do you guys regret our times together in middle school?" Yoko asked softly as she remembered how they used to be.

"Is love that important? Even though i am searching for someone, i don't want to be protected by him. I have died once for him. I don't mind doing that again."

Her face change into a soft expression as she smiled sadly. Her eyes were somehow blank.

Both of them stopped her as they were surprised to hear her talking like that.

"Yoko? Why are you saying such things?"

Yoko blink for a moment.

"Eh? So it's true then. You guys regret fighting during middle school." She look at them with teary eyes.

"Huh? No. Of course not. What do you mean by dying for the person you are searching for?" Fumi asked as she turn Yoko to face her.

"You said something about that. Do you remember?" Yuuka asked in a softer tone.

"Eh? I didn't." She stared at them with a puzzled face.

"Maybe you guys heard wrongly. Anyway, we are late." She pulled them and walk to the station.

Yuuka and Fumi look at each other.

"Ma.. It must be our imagination." Yuuka said to Fumi as Fumi shrug.

After work, they went back home separately. On her way back, Yoko caught a glimpse of a guy with shoulder length red hair. She stood there staring at the guy for a moment. He was walking with a girl smiling and kissing her.

'It's him...' She thought to herself. She wanted to go towards him but she couldn't as she remembered what Yuuka said the other day. The guy look up and caught her staring at him. At first he seem surprise and shock as he quickly let go of the girl that was with him. Yoko panicked a little and ran off.

'Oh no...He saw me staring.' She ran all the way home and hide herself in her room.

'The way he look at me. It's familiar... Am I just imagining it again??' She thought to herself as she lie down. Unknowingly, she fell asleep.

Gojyo was flirting with a girl he just meet at the video shop. She was innocent looking with a slender perfect body. Being himself, he couldn't help but flirt with her. To his surprise, the girl was not as innocent as she look.
