Don't Let Me Go

Chapter 5

"I don't understand?" I spoke quietly. I was completely amazed by my control of temper. I usually get so angry at every little thing, but not this. I couldn't tear my eyes away from his.

"I don't expect you to right away, but eventually you will, everything will fall into place." he exclaimed.

"Eventually," I repeated confusedly. "I don't think there will be any eventually here!" I stood up, "Do you hear what you're telling me?"

"As much as you want me to leave, or be out of your life, I'm not going to. You're stuck with me," he said firmly standing up along with me.

"Take me home!" I demanded walking away.

"Please, please stay," Theo begged. His eyes grew wide and he curled his lip under. 'No he is not giving me the puppy dog face! Seriously?' I thought. When I didn't respond he tilted his head to the side and whimpered just like an annoying dog does. The face he made, caused his dimples to show. Oh my goodness, I can't refuse that face.

"A puppy dog face really?" I sassed him.

"Just give me a chance to prove you can trust me."

"Okay fine. Ill stay considering I have no way of getting home other than walking and thats not a good idea at this hour." I found myself giving in and making an excuse to stay. What is happening to me? 

"What ever you say." he sat back down and I followed.

I felt very uncomfortable so close to him so I scooted to the edge of the couch without falling off. Theo looked over at me with a confusion in his eyes. Yeah cause I'm gong to sit right next to you? Haha you're hilarious. Just when I though I could get away with being so far away from him he pulled me in right with his arm around my shoulder. My eyebrows furrowed and looked at him seriously.

"You're kidding me? No." I grabbed his arm with my index and thumb like it was a used tissue

"What? I'm just being protective," he winked

"Just don't" I shook my head and relaxed on his couch.

We watched multiple episodes of "The Big Bang Theory" which was on after "Cops." There was small talk and laughter throughout the night, but I couldn't seem to get up and leave. He was so fascinated by everything that came on television. I couldn't help, but watch him instead of the flashing screen in front of me. His smile was accompanied by dimples as deep as the ocean and squinted eyes. I found myself falling asleep and as much as I tried staying awake I miserably failed.

Theo's POV

Around the fifth episode of The Big Bang Theory, Alaina's eyes closed ands was out cold. I found myself a little disappointed because I wouldn't be able to see her eyes anymore. They are the most beautiful shade of green with a yellow tint and a very dark blue ring around the edges. I knew I shouldn't wake her because she would insist on going home by herself. Alaina is very clumsy and will find a way to get herself into trouble. She always does.

I gently picked her up and carried her to my room. She was roughly 115 pounds so it wasn't hard at all to be smooth enough to not wake her. The bun in her hair was making her skin tight, so I lightly pulled the hair band out. Her long blonde hair framed her face and cascaded down to her hips. I've never seen her up close, so I couldn't really tell how pretty she was. No, pretty is an understatement, she was beautiful.

I hope she isn't afraid of me because of what I told her. There was nothing creepy about what I did before, I only made sure she didn't get hurt. I don't know anything about her, but I hope she lets that change.

I slowly walked out of the door trying not to wake her. For the rest of the night I stood outside the door. I felt like I needed to protect her. No matter what the circumstance was. I'll be there, from the bottom of the ocean, to my bedroom.

Alaina's POV

Before I opened my eyes when I woke, I recalled my dream. Tall, dark, and handsome man laughing with me as I slowly fell asleep. For once I had a dream that was safe or... happy. Wait, was it a dream? I quickly opened my eyes and shot my head up. Nope it wasn't a dream. That actually happened. I thought. I lifted myself out of the heavenly bed and crept towards the door. I grabbed the knob and shot the door open. Nope no one there I thought. Soon enough, a man came walking in the hallway towards me. Theo I recalled.

"Well if it isn't Sleeping Beauty. How did you sleep madam," Theo joked. Why is he so perfect? Wait, no. I can't say that. I don't even know him. Well not enough at least.

I scratched my head "Alright I guess," I mumbled.

"So scratch morning person off the list," he chuckled.

"Meanie!" I playfully punched him in the arm when he fake flinched.

"I made breakfast!" he called as he ran for the kitchen.

"Good I'm starving." I complained.

"Hope you like cereal!"

I gave him a nasty glare since I was expecting a real breakfast. Not this cereal crap. Well at least he's feeding me! When I got to the kitchen table I immediately started eating my cereal, and quickly finished. Then something hit me, I have work today.

"Oh my gosh! I'm missing work! I have to go now!" I shouted.

"I already called you in sick don't worry! Geez."

"Okay well I have to go to dance today, so I'm going home anyways," I said sternly walking out the door.

"No I'm driving" he demanded without hesitating to grab his keys.

"Fine just take me home."
