heyy so it's been like two years and I just recently downloaded watt pad again. I stopped writing because I thought that everyone hated the story but it turns out it's not too unpopular. None of you probably remember what this is about so this is just for fun now. I may be changing a bit of the other chapters and this is my last "authors note" so enjoy!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~"Yeah just turn left here," I directed Theo, "Oh my God! You missed the turn!"
"Sorry, sorry! Don't bite my head off."
I take a deep breath, "It's fine just turn left this next street and follow it down to the second left turn... Stop it's this building right here,"
Theo laughed "Okay see you later?"
"I don't know.. This all is a bit strange don't you think?" I say grabbing my phone from the cup holder and sliding it in my back pocket. I looked up and met his gaze one last time. It felt like hours just sitting there looking into his dark brown eyes. He looked worried.
"I understand. This is a situation that not a lot of people would be very open to. Especially the way that this all had to happen. To you it must sound like I've been stalking you for three years and came up with 'protection' as a cover " Theo said trying to cover the awkwardness with a quiet chuckle.
"No it's not-" I cut myself off, realizing that's exactly what happened. But what if him being by me for protection all this time is a good thing. He could be the reason I'm still alive. -No he is the reason I'm still alive, thinking back to the four men last night. "Okay yeah it is, but could you just give me some time to think this all out? Yeah it's really weird but maybe we can fix this by getting to know each other. Without the whole creepy staking thing." I laughed.
"You think so?" he said with hope.
"Yeah, I just need some time. Is that alright?"
He nodded. I pulled myself away and climbed out of the car. Before I shut the door he spoke, "Just let me know when you're ready, Alaina." His eyes were wide with hope and worry.
"I will," I replied and headed up to the apartment complex building. The building was almost completely covered in rust. Since I've lived here for about two years now I'm sort of used to it considering I don't complain to the owner every week anymore.
When I finally reached my door I get my keys from my pocket, unlocked the door and walk in. Although my apartment is really small, it is still cute and tidy on the inside. When I walk into my bedroom I plop myself lazily on my unmade bed. I was there for ten minutes letting my mind wander. Finally I had enough, so I slipped out my phone. There are many different messages and missed calls from Kaylah. I needed to send her a message and let her know I'm fine.
Don't worry about me. I'm back in my apartment. We can meet at Barnes and Noble if you want. I'll explain everything.
She responded almost immediately.
Oh my gosh you scared me! And yea I need to see you! Meet you there in twenty.
Alrighty
Before heading out I quickly changed my clothes and made myself a cup of coffee for the road. Luckily, my complex is about five minutes from Barnes and Nobles walking.
Once I arrived I sat in a comfy arm chair and waited for Kaylah to arrive. I tried to come up with a way to tell her all that had happened without making me sound like a total psycho for going along with anything he said. That's when I realized I needed to just tell her everything the way it happened because I had no clue what to do at all. I needed advice badly. To avoid going crazy in my thoughts I decided to grab a book and read. When I was three chapters into my classic go to book, Harry Potter, I noticed Kaylah walk in. Kaylah has naturally dark brown hair that falls down to her waist. The bottom half of her hair is dyed lilac and it perfectly suits her. She's always been on the artsy side, which is immediately noticeable from her bohemian clothing style. Kaylah is a pretty short person which makes everything she does seem very surprising because she looks like an adorable muffin on the outside, but she's a basically the biggest badass I've ever known. I stood up to say hi and I was cut off.
"No time to say hello, its been killing me. What the hell is happening?"
So I told her everything. From Eric and his creepy friends, to our awkward conversation in the car before I texted her. She looked completely taken aback. Her brown Asian eyes were so big and her jaw literally dropped. I was starting to get worried because she always had something to say, but this time she was silent.
"Kaylah..?" I attempted to get her attention again.
"Oh sorry I was just staring at that extremely attractive guy over in the Fiction section. Look!" she pointed excitedly with her gaze still locked on the stranger.
"Kaylah focus!" I practically shouted.
"Oh yeah right right, sorry," she laughed. "Honestly this guy doesn't sound crazy. From what you told me he showed no signs of being aggressive towards you, so I think you should give it a chance. Yes, you should be careful with him since you don't know him that well, but why not take a risk. You've been stuck in your own world ever since you were kicked out, and I think its time for a little adventure. Don't you agree?"
Her response was not what I expected. I thought she would be yelling at me for going in his house and all the other stupid mistakes I made. She was right though. I haven't done anything but work, read, and go out with her occasionally for over a year. Maybe I am ready to take some risks in life.
"Yeah I do. I'm just amazed at how cool you are with this. You're telling the truth right?"
"Of course," she glanced over at the man in the fiction section again, "I'm gonna go over there and try to talk up pretty boy. I think you should get in contact with this Theo dude and grab a coffee or something like that. See you later girl." She kissed me on the head and walked straight to her "pretty boy."
