Chapter 4) Something Weird Going On

I snuck through the village,with a basket of fish behind my shield.
"Hey Runa."
I turned around and saw Snotlout.
"H-hey,Snotlout..." I looked at the ground.
"What are you doing?" He asked.
"I was,just... um..." I thought for a second. "I was just going to the woods." I held my breath.
"Why do you have a basket then?" Snotlout asked.
"Because,I was.. uh,planning to fish a little...?" I said,hoping I sounded convincing,even though that sounded like a question.
"Don't you need a fishing rod to go fishing?" He asked.
I mentally slapped myself.
"Oh,yeah. I was headed home to get it right now." I said. "So,I'll see ya later." I ran off in the direction of my house and the woods.
I sighed when I reached the woods.
'It's gonna be hard to keep sneaking back out here with Snotlout.' I thought as I walked through the woods to where the dragon was at.

-When I reached the cliff-

I sighed as I looked down the cliff at the sleeping Nadder. I started down the cliff,trying to be quiet when,
"Woah!" My foot slipped and I slid down the cliff.
The Nadder woke up and shot her tail and spikes up.
"Ahh please don't kill me I have food!" I said,hiding behind my shield with the basket of raw fish spilled next to me. The Nadder relaxed when she noticed it was me. I peaked out from behind my shield. When I noticed she was eating the fish.
"Whew." I sighed. "And I also brought something to help heal that wing of yours." I said,pulling bandages and a rag out of my boot.
Luckily,there was a stream near by,so I headed there.
When I came back with the wet rag,I saw the dragon was asleep again. I slowly and silently walked over to her. As soon as I touched the rag to her wing,she woke up.
"Woah woah! It's okay! I'm just gonna clean your wing,okay?" I said when she seemed startled. She calmed down and spread her wing out.
"So,I was thinking. I need to call you something. So,how about... hmm... FlightWing!"
She shook her head. "Okay,how about... SkyWing?" I asked. She nodded. I smiled,as I finished washing her wing off and put the bandages on it.
"There." I said,putting the extra bandages in my boot. "It should be healed in no time. Just try not to use it much,okay?" I smiled as she nodded. "I should probably head back now. I'll be back sooner or later,okay?" I said. SkyWing turned her head and looked at me. It made me sad that I had to leave her alone again,but people would start wondering where I was. Or,that's what I hoped.
I grabbed the basket and climbed back up the cliff. I looked down when I reached the top.
"See you later." I smiled. She nodded,then I ran off back towards town.

-When I reached town-

I walked back through town to the armory to help Gobber.
"Look! There's that girl." I heard someone whisper. I looked and they were pointing at me.
I ignored them,until I heard,
"I heard she wants to befriend dragons!" Soneone else whispered. I gulped,but just kept walking.
"What if she wants to befriend them so she can take over the world?" I heard someone else whisper.
'Okay that's just ridiculous.' I thought.
I arrived at the armory.
"Hey Gobber!" I said. "Afternoon,Lassie." Gobber said.
"Hey Runa." Hiccup said,but I was still giving him the silent treatment.
"Oh,uh,Runa. I don't need your,uh,help today. Buisness is...slow." Gobber said,closing a window that I saw a bunch of people lined up outside of. I gave him a confused look.
"Are you sure?" I asked. "Yes. Completely sure." Gobber said, "Just,uh,go do whatever it is you do."
"Alright." I said kinda quietly as I left.
'Something's going on and I need to find out what.' I thought. I saw Snotlout walking up to me,but some viking stopped him,whispered something to him,and then he turned and went the opposite way from me.
Even Snotlout was acting weird.
People were avoiding me much more than they used to.
What was going on?
