We got inside the house with the key I’ve around my neck  since I left in the police car all them years ago.

It didn’t smell old and it wasn’t all dusty due to the cleaner I'd hired before I moved back, she had gotten food in and some essential appliances that I would need, She had been my Nanny when I was little.

It looked the same, smelled the same instantly memories assaulted me of my childhood, happy memories. Chris stood behind me with my bags not wanting to rush me.

“You ok babe?”

He put the bags down near the door and shut it and hugged me.

“Yeah, it’s just strange it’s the exact same nothing has changed, I just never realised how much I missed this place, It feels like its welcoming me back, It sounds stupid.”

I went off into mumbling not knowing how to justify the strange sentence

“No I get it babe, I feel it to, like it brightened when it saw you, ha now I sound like the weirdo”

He smiled his genuine smile

“When don’t you chris"

I smirked looked at him and then ran

“You think you're funny, I’m going to tickle you to death, until you cry for mercy!!”

I ran my fastest through the living room in the dining room and back into the hallway which is where he caught me.

He then started to violently tickle me until I couldn’t breathe from laughing

“OK...I cant breath..Ha ha. Please I’m begging please”

The words hardly came through the giggles

“I said you had to beg for mercy babe, but because I love you ill let you go for now “

He stood up leaving me on the floor gasping for breath still laughing,

“Why thank you “ I said sarcastically

“Coffee?” I asked walking into the kitchen a coffee machine was at the top of my list, I couldn’t live without my coffee

The one Magdalene had gotten me (cleaner) was shiny red with the best coffee ever next to it.

“Aw yum I need coffee” he said settling down in to one of the chairs

I turned on the machine and looked in the fridge for the milk, then grabbing the cups from the cupboard the same one they had always been in.

And put the coffee and a few biscuits on the table

“Looking forward to tomorrow?”  I grimaced at his inncocent enough question, Tomorrow I started the local high school.

And to make matters worse i'm starting in the middle of the year I hate being the new girl, but i was so happy I didnt have to do it alone again.

As if reading my mind he smiled “don’t worry ill be there the whole time looking out for you, I'm in most of your classes so your not alone”

"Thanks babe" I smiled then let out the huge yawnIi had being trying to hold back

"Right I'm off, I'll pick you up tomorow I'll be early, you go to bed now so your not all zombie like ok?."

"Yes mother, of course mother" I smiled sarcastically stifling another yawn.

We walked towards the door and I let out my little kitty from her box to roam the house freely.

"Bye babe, sleep well" I hugged him tight trying to convey how much I had missed him.

"You to " He kissed my hair and left.

I shut the door and put out food and water for the kitty and trudged upstairs to bed

I had decided to now sleep in my parents old room they're huge bed was the most comfortable and i just got under the covers and I was asleep instantaneously .

My last thought was I wish they were here with me.
