unsettling

I waited in the car park for chrissy next to his car, while i waited i mulled over what i thought of daniel.

did i hate him? had i been to harsh? 

"Hey, good day?" chrissy's voice broke through my thoughts

he looked a bit worried. i smiled 

"yeah it was ok. you know the usual." his face relaxed and his lobsided grin filled his face.

in the drive home my thoughts flitted back to the mysterious boy, something seemed familiar about him. not the good kind of familiar that you get 

from an old friends embrace or the whiff of your mothers perfume but not an awful feeling.

whatever if was it nesslteld itself in my chest refusing to move making it hard to forget he exsisted which is what i had intented

which annoyed me.

"...so is that okay?" chris concluded with a sentance i hadnt heard

i blushed "sorry?"

he chuckled "tomorrow you're going to have to take your car i've training after school"

yes i love my car!!

"thats cool babe"

"got much homework?" chris started up the convorsation again easily

"no not really did most of it in the classes" i looked out the window at the passing houses each one looking perfect in its own way

"you done the stuff in your old schools?"

i smiled "yeah but its cool doesnt hurt to go over things does it? anyway what you upto for the rest of the evening?"

"nothing much homework and stuff.you?"

"i was just going to finish unpacking and maybe get some more stuff for the house, ive the essentials but not much food

and shampoo" 

he smirked " give me a shout and ill come to the shops with you if you want?"

"emm no i have to start trying to do things on my own a trip to the shops is just what i need thanks tho"

chris pulled the car into his driveway i hopped out my seat and headed to my door "see you later chris"

i called over my shoulder

"yea will do babe" she shouted back i unlocked my door and felt a sense of welcoming and of course gabri circling my feet 

purring

i picked her up and petted her while i put out fresh food and water for her.

"i have to short this house out and make it home again for us" wow talkin to my cat another step towards crazy town

i put on trackies unpacked all my clothes and put them away in my mothers old cherry mahogany wardrobe

which still had some of my mums old dresses still.when i opened the doors my mums scent drifted out

it smelt like home and comfort.

i washed the floors and wiped away the cobwebs and aired out the musty smell.

threw out all the rubish that wasnt needed anymore.

when the cleaning was done i got all my mothers paintings out and all my family pictures and put them up around the house 

making it feel bright and homely.

i stood there admiring my work thinking of the colour i was going paint my room and my stomach rumbled.

"food i want some food" i looked in the fridge and there wasnt much in. 'shopping time!!'

i changed out of my now dirty pants and top into clean clothes grabbed my bag and car keys felt a last blast of warmness

as i walked ot the house in to the darkening night.

 drove towards the tesco chris had given me the directions for.

i made a list in my head of what i wanted i must have been distracted and taken a wrong turn i was driving down a long dark

road.

"fuck sake! im hungry!!!"

looking for a place to turn around i noticed something in the corner of my eye a dark figuire on the road thumbing for a lift.

it was getting pretty dark and cold i felt pity so i stopped to let them in.

"hello again stranger" my heart stopped it was him daniel.

"h..hey where you going?" i calmed my self 

"elbert street" he started straight out the windshield

"em i dont know where that is piont the way?" 

"sure. so wat you doing out here this time of night?" he didnt sound very curious

"on my way to tesco and took a wrong turn"

he smirked at me "from where you drop me off go around the corner and left"

"thanks"  a silence took over and my stomach decided to make an almighty rumble

i couldnt help but giggle at the awkwardness

"sorry havnt eaten in a while just moved in thats why im off to the shop" i could feel myself blushing

he smiled it almost reached his eyes

"its cool, settling in okay?"

"yeah its nice being back home" i smiled at the thought

"just here thanks from here round the corner and left thanks for the ride" his eyes caught mine 

and i couldnt look away his eyes were never ending.

"bye" i looked away and he closed the door i drove towards food/
