Chapter Two ~ Class Time

She made it to her class quickly so she could be surrounded by more of her kind. Kaname was at his spot on the window seat, his gaze locking with hers as soon as she entered the room. A blush colored her face and she looked away and sat down next to Aidou.

"Kaname looks pissed." Aidou accused.

Then he noticed her red face and confusion filled his features. "Did he...and you..." The sadness in his tone made her wince.

"Nothing happened." Total lie and he knew it. What made it worse was when Kain sat down on her other side and leaned in towards her.

With his mouth directly by her ear he whispered, "Kaname keeps looking at you. What happened?"

"I was a little late to class." She tried for her usual aloof air and failed to gain it.

"So was he." Kain dropped the discussion though and went back to day dreaming about who know's what.

"Kate..." Aidou sighed her name but he was looking at Kaname. "I think he's motioning for you to go sit by him."

"I'd rather..." She looked up from her desk to glare at the guy but found herself transfixed instead.

Slowly she stood up from her seat, much to her friends shock, and made her way over to Kaname. He had a triumphant smirk on his handsome face and she knew he was using his Prue Blood powers to control her. When she sat next to him on the window seat he slid an arm around her waist and pulled her onto his lap.

Their classmates looked in their direction with shock written all over their faces, a few of the girls shooting her dirty glares. Kaname nuzzled her neck and then talked in a low voice next to her ear. "You know you'll be punished for thanking that filthy hunter, right?"

"Eh?!" She made a startled noise and her heart beat quickened. "I don't think that's....necessary."

"Oh but of course it is." Craning her neck to look at his face she saw the slow and strangely sexy smile spread across his face.

"Kaname...Katelynn..." The teacher said as he glided into the classroom. "I may let you sit where ever and how ever you want but on each other's laps is not a place I'll agree to."

The power he had seemed to have over her movements ended and she sprung from his lap while he wasn't paying attention. He was caught off guard for a moment and she saw a flicker of something pass over his face but it was quickly replaced by a blank and calculated look.

"Of course, sir." She said as she crossed the room back to Aidou and Kain. "Sounds absolutely perfect to me, sir."

The teacher gave her a confused look, most girls who had Kaname's attention would've been pissed if it was interupted by someone, but soon started teaching his lesson.

Kain leaned over to Katelynn and whispered in her ear, "What the hell have you gotten yourself into now?"

She didn't dare glance at Aidou for fear of the hurt that she knew she would see in his eyes. But from the way she could sense his uncomfortable shifting she knew he wanted an answer to that question too. But what could she say? She had absolutely no idea what she had gotten herself into or how. So much for trying not to draw attention to herself...
