You Don't Know Me But...

chapter 4

I feel strong muscular arms wrap around me. Kelly was hugging me. Was I supposed to hug him back I'm not really used to being hugged by adults its different. When Kelly released me he went with Will and Nat into the hallway. I used the hospital phone to call my brother.
"Hello"
"Hey big bro its Jessie. I found him"
"That's great baby sis. Whats he like?"
"Honestly I don't know he seems nice."
"I'm glad to hear it. Hopefully I will see you soon but call me tomorrow. I love you"
"love you too." Right as I hung up Kelly motioned for me to join him. We left the hospital and went back to the firehouse. All I could think of is as soon as we get back he is going to send me to foster care.
The drive was silent and stiff. Kelly exited the car as soon as we pulled up, I however needed time. After two minutes I got out of the car and followed Kelly into his second home.
"Look Kelly can you please not put me in foster care just sign over your rights and I'll live with my brother and his adopted family." I couldn't look at him, another person who will turn me away.
"Hey. Hey look at me I wasn't there when you were little not because I didn't want to but because I didn't know. I can promise you I will be here from now on."
"Don't make promises you don't intend on keeping."
"I'm keeping this one no matter what."
Kelly brought me into the Commons room when everyone was.
"guys I have an announcement to make" Kelly motioned toward me "This is my daughter her name is Jessica and she will be living with me from now on."
