At the mall I couldn’t help but think about Jin.

Just the sound of his name in my head makes my heart stop.

Seriously, do I really want to get over him?

Camilla doesn’t want to stop buying things she doesn’t even need.

I bought three dresses. Camilla and I fought for one but decided our friendship was way more important that a piece of clothing and didn’t buy it.

We were eating at Subway when she started talking about something I didn’t understand.

“Hey, Reign.”

I caught a glimpse of blue eyes staring at me.

“Reign.”

It’s him.

“Reign!”

“Jin!” I started to run after him when someone grabbed my arm.

Camilla stared at me like I was some crazy chick.

“Reign, what’s gotten into you?”

“It’s him. Jin’s here. He was staring at me.”

Her jaw fell.

“Wait, what?”

I was just about to tell her again when she covered my mouth.

“Yeah, I heard you the first time but I just can’t believe it. Reign, Jin is not here. It’s impossible. When he left you, he made it clear that he wasn’t going back. Now let’s go before I leave you here all alone.” There was an edge to her tone showing that she didn’t really she didn’t mean the last part.

“I’m sorry, Cammy. I know it’s been such a long time but I couldn’t be mistaken. It was him. I’d know him anywhere.” I almost begged her to believe me.

“Okay, okay. Let’s say he was here. But where is he now?” My best friend just gave me the hardest question ever.

“I don’t know.”

I give up.

He wasn’t here.

He never was.

And never will be again.

And it broke my heart for the thousandth time.
