Tim's POV
The kids are completely hysterical, they are afraid. Linda look as if she was having a panic attack, Michael looked tough and brave, but he was scared shitless, you could see it through his eyes. Jodi, she was expressionless, she was completely shocked by the whole situation. Me? I was trying to settle the whole situation, but I couldn't live with this myself.
"Linda you need to calm down, all of you! We need to be brave and fight back, get help!" I announce.
"This isn't a game, a joke, nor a prank. You need to get a grip of yourselves. Someone is after us, and if we don't keep calm and let it beat us. Fear will take us right into the hands of the killer" I lecture.
"You don't understand. The killer has managed an escape from Michael. Whoever this asshole is, we need to run. Fighting back isn't an option" Jodi argues.
"Why not? The killer then has a chance" I fight back.
"We've lost friends and we're torn to shreds. We're too weak, we don't have the strength, we need to grieve. Fighting isn't an option. We need to just hide and run. Goose chase. But it's life or death" Jodi fights. She wasn't giving up. I could see it in Linda and Michael's eyes. They agreed with her.
"Whatever. You guys hide, but I'm fighting, for your survival. Michael, protect them. Go now, Jodi, if I die. Tell dad that he's a great guy, and to take great care of you" I say, wiping a tear away from my eye.
"You're not going to die. I'll make sure of it. Don't think that" Jodi says, sobbing.
"You're a great kid. Never forget me" I say, I grab a shotgun that was nestled by the door. Heading out, I felt my heart sink to my chest, my stomach turn into a knot, and my blood race to my head. I was in the death zone. I needed to draw all attention away from the kids so they could get out of here.
Linda's POV
I clawed up the hill as Michael supported me, it felt weird when he touched me. But. In a sense. I liked it. But it felt odd. Because he liked me, but I don't know. Jodi continued to reach out to the top of the hill but Michael stopped me.
"Linda I need to confess something," Michael says, quietly.
"I already know," I say, patting his shoulder before continuing my way up.
"I don't like you," Michael says, starting to fume.
"Sure. We all kno-" I was cut off with a screaming Michael.
"I like Jodi, I just played along so no one knew who I really like, I want things to stop being awkward between us because we have such a good relationship" Michael screams, staring into my souls. I thought only girls could do this?
Jodi looks back to the screaming Michael, the two exchanged looks before I could realize. Jodi admitted to always liking him.
"Oh. My. God. You two would make such a cute cups" I say jumping up and down. Jodi and Michael slowly walk down to each other. Ready for their lips to connect. It was beautiful I was about to cry, however, that moment was ruined when the sound of bushes rustling all got us on our toes.
"Get the fuck down and get out of here" Michael whispers.
We all start to make our way out, Jodi leading the way, then me, then Michael backing us up. A figure then suddenly pounced out of a bush and wrestled with Jodi, I thought she was going to die. I screamed and Tim came racing around the corner.
"Jodi!" Michael screams, racing to her rescue. Jodi screams in agonizing pain as the killer slices her check. Tim covers me and we race together away. What a jerk! He isn't helping Michael while Jodi is in a life or death situation.
Tim and I wait, crouching. We hear the sounds of footsteps racing towards us. Around the corner came Michael and Jodi. They're safe. Thank god.
"We need to get out of her, the killer fled before we could take a look" Michael puffs.
We all exchange looks and make a run for the lake. We all knew that we'd be safe there. We all arrived and we knew we couldn't wade through the water until daylight.
"You all hide while I find a boat big enough for us," Tim says before bolting off.
We all hid in a bush, waiting for Tim's return.
The Figure's POV
I sheltered myself in a bush, stalking my prey. I saw Tim bolting over to the boat shed. He rummaged around in search for a boat. I'm not letting his crew on the boat, better take out the strong one. Michael. But, Tim's the oldie, he'll do.
I stalked him as he peered over the water, struggling to put the boat in. He failed to put the boat in and I gave a little chuckle as he fell. He spun to face me.
"Oh. I thought you were the killer, you scared me half to death" Tim says, struggling for air.
"Oh. Don't worry, I'll help you all out" I snicker.
"Thank god. We're in desperate need of help" Tim says in relief.
I soon tackle him to the ground and smack him hard across the head with a paddle. He's dizzy and I smash his head against the edge of the boat. Knocking him out cold. I threw him in the water to let him drown. I didn't care.
Jodi then mutters words from behind me. I look behind to see her in horror, she was in complete utter shock. Michael followed behind and Jodi pointed towards me.
"She's the killer" She mutters.
"Let's get out of here" Michael says before dragging her away. I sneer in success. I've scared them now to kill the last ones off.
