The Bombing of Pearl Harbor in Hawaii

December 1941

The attack on the Philippines a few hours later

December 1941

The Japanese taking full power over the Philippines

January 1942

President Laurel

4th Philippine President

The declaration of Manila as an "open city"

January 1942

Newspapers being censored

Social change during the Japanese occupation

The abuse of Women

Japanese soldiers abuse Filipino women for their relaxation and enjoyment

Comfort Women

Filipino women who were forced into prosecution with the Japanese soldiers

Not granting of immediate independence by both America and Japan

Both countries never noticed that the Philippines had independence before colonizing the country

America and Japan being mean to the Filipinos

They colonized the country in such a way that the outcomes would benefit them, not the Philippines

Justice was never prevailed

The Filipinos were not considered equal with the colonizers

Other than the events that I mentioned in the list, they are fiction.
