"Come on Aria! We're going to be late for math again at this rate," I said still giggling about what we got up to in our previous period.
"Hey its not my fault. You and I just can't focus in class," she said stifling a laugh as she flipped her died auburn hair over her shoulder.
"And it's not my fault I'm so hilarious."
"Yeah right. I just laugh at your stupidity." I faked a gasp, hand on my chest I mock hurt. She just rolled her eyes.
"Well, I don't even take French. How am I supposed to know the difference between prepositions à and de?"
She started laughing again at that. The truth was that I took Spanish as an additional language and Aria actually took French, but who wants to sit in some super boring class that your flunking when you can just slip into your friends class and bug her? It's just logic. So she really should have expected to see me follow some random kids into her class and drop down, gracefully might I add, in the seat next to her. When she got over the shock that I was actually ditching one of my classes to grace her with my presence, we proceeded to laugh and giggle our way through the thirty minutes.
"I still cant believe that Monsieur Morris didn't catch you. He would have flipped out!"
"Well that's only one of the perks of being a wallflower." I laughed to myself at my lame attempt at making a joke.
"Oh come on Hunter, "she sighed dramatically, I just rolled my eyes, "you have him for Physics and your, what, in the top two? Don't play at that whole 'nobody pays attention to me' thing with me."
I scoffed, "Just because I'm one of the only kids that work in that class doesn't mean he cares about anything other than my final exam. That man doesn't even know my name." Hey, I'm allowed to feel sorry for myself every now and then.
She was about to send a snappy retort in my direction, when we were thankfully interrupted by Haven and Skylar, two other members of our posse.
"Cutting it a little short there guys?" Skylar commented.
I wasn't letting her get away with that, "Oh is that what happened to you?" I said taking a jab at her height, or lack there of. It was a lame joke, but I knew it bothered her. Smiling, I basked in my victory as she turned around to enter the classroom, mumbling something about shaving my eyebrows off. I hurriedly shuffled after Aria to take my seat next to her, positioned in front of the seats that belonged to Skylar and Haven. It's safe to say that we didn't get much done in math.
"Hey Hunter? Why were you walking with Aria if your Spanish class is the other side of the building?" Haven asked, leaning over her desk to catch my attention. Most people believed that Haven was the quiet and shy one in our group, but if they got to know her they would know just how polar opposite she was to being innocent.
I couldn't help but giggle a little at the reason why, but I just raised a finger to my lips implying that my lips were sealed. she furrowed her eyebrows as she tried to understand. I heard a laugh from Aria as the look of confusion spread across her face. Haven finally started to put the pieces together and gasped loud enough to attract the attention of a couple of people around us,
"You didn't ditch you Spanish class right?!" she asked, surprised I would do something like that.
"Gee, thanks H. Tell the whole damn class why don't you, and I didn't think that the principle heard you."
"Hunter you always go on about how you're failing, and I heard that a way to improve your grade is to actually attend your classes," she sassed.
