Quotes

- From the fog behind him, four figures emerged.  Devon felt himself shrink down to the corner of the window, his hand still on Cara, bringing her down with him.  The figures were taller than the stranger, and much broader.  They moved quick and deliberate on two meaty legs, then dropped to all fours as they closed in on their prey.  The desperate man wailed.

-They passed close enough he could almost touch their wings.  They smelled like death, all rot and decay.  He wanted to gag.  Something finally got their attention, they shifted as one and grabbed a rather large man by his arms and led him toward the front of the crowd.  He fought against them, trying in vain to pull away but the reapers never budged, their hands around him were as though he were clamped in iron chains.

-Now alert and frightened, she tried to examine her surroundings more closely.  The walls seemed plain and smooth except for what seemed to be hunting trophy's mounted to them.  Then she realized, they were heads, human heads, and they were moving.
