 Summary

 'The world we see is a blend of meaningless actions and hopeless illusions. Beneath this is a darker truth, a spiral of horrific acts and truly disgusting motives. But I'm not the philosopher, I'm merely the last person who still believes in crime and punishment.´ The golden age of vigilantism has passed. Those who still continue to speak up are outlawed, cast out by the people they try to protect. Grin is one of the last people fighting to save New York from a danger it cannot contemplate. Since a mysterious mistake made by the 'Captain´, vigilantes are persecuted and discharged. Behind masks of false emotion and self denial, Grin sees people for what they are; Only he can comprehend the horror of human nature. Hollow, his enemy in the shadows, is determined to destroy everything Grin stands for; can Grin survive as a lost cause in an unforgiving world?

The author says:

It's a action story about vigilantes-not superheroes- who are outlawed and facing a city torn by grief, death and the prospect of another Cold War/ Nuclear war. The story follows Grin, a sociopathic vigilante, who tries to bring justice to the world through violence, but slowly becomes a monster.

 I think it's original due to the way it makes you question what you stand for and your Morales, the main characters aren't invincible but flawed, mortal and dark. There's a lot if philosophy and undertones that I'm always weaving in, ideally by the end people will really question who the Heroes are. There's a lot of backstory about vigilante heritage, which I will reveal more of as the story progresses. Nothing is black or white.
