Sonny Rider woke up to find himself in a large room. It was completely dark.

There was an eerie silence inside this room that made Sonny shiver. Where was he?

He'd fallen unconscious before the henchmen had carried him away so he had no idea where they had taken him. Sonny felt a wave of sadness come upon him as his mind flashed back to the blond man killing Danny. He couldn't get the image of the blond man choking Danny's throat with his boot out of his head.

Furthermore,  Sonny remembered the choking noises that Danny made when he was dying.      He grimaced. The massacre at Croftbury would be unforgettable.

So many lives lost in a gruesome manner. And for what cause?

Sonny's thoughts were cut off when the door opened and a tall figure briskly walked in, turning on the lights in the process.

It was a stocky man with broad shoulders and short black hair.

The stocky man walked with a sense of confidence and pride as he moved closer towards Sonny, who was strapped to a chair in the centre of the room.

"Hello young fella, it's a pleasure to meet you" he said warmly.

"Who are you?" Sonny asked.

There was something strange about this man but Sonny couldn't figure it out. Was he the boss? Had he given those henchmen the orders to carry out the massacre at Croftbury?

"I'm doctor James King. What's your name? My men brought you to me but they didn't ask for your name" King said calmly.

"It's Sonny. Sonny Rider."

King smiled. "Nice name. I suppose you want to know why you're here."

Sonny nodded. King allowed himself a slight smile before he spoke.

"I need your cooperation. I have been working on a huge scientific project that I believe can change the world. I plan to unleash it in Imperial City first and then I will unleash it worldwide. Before I do any of that, I need you to allow me to experiment on you."

Sonny frowned. This scientific project sounded eerie and disturbing to him.                                          "Why don't you experiment on yourself?" he snapped impatiently.

King laughed at Sonny. "I already have and it works successfully but I need another test subject and you are that lucky person."

Sonny couldn't help but frown again. "What's your project called?"

King grinned. "It's called Telegenesis. It is a project that means so much to me and is arguably my best work yet. I have worked on Telegenesis for the last five years and now it is ready to be unleashed to the world."

Sonny shook his head. "That doesn't sound promising to me."

King dismissed this comment with a wave of his hand. "You're not a believer yet but you will be. Telegenesis will change the world for good, you'll see."

Sonny shook his head. There were so many questions floating around in his head that he wanted to ask King.

King saw the look of confusion on Sonny's face and smiled at him.

"Don't worry Sonny. I will explain all of this to you fully in good time.                                                           For now, let's get to know each other. Talk to me about yourself and then I will do the same. What happened to your parents?"

Sonny glared at James King. "They died in a car crash."

King shook his head apologetically. "I'm sorry for your loss. Did the police find the killer?"
