Chapter 3

'Now's your chance,' Fitz thought, 'Tell her.' Fitz took a deep breath, "Jem, I have something I want to tell you." He said turning to look at her as they sat on her bed. "Of course Fitz, you can tell me anything." 'You can do it, you can tell her anything. She's been your best friend since 2004. This shouldn't change your friendship.' Fitz thought. "I like you." He blurted. "I know Fitz, we've been friends for 12 years because you like me." Jemma said a bit confused. "No, I LIKE you Jem." Fitz said adding emphasis on the word 'like'. 'Skye and Bobbi were right, he does like me.' Jemma thought, she didn't know how to respond to what Fitz said, so instead of saying anything, she leaned in towards Fitz and kissed him. Jemma quickly pulled away realizing how sudden the kiss was, but Fitz pulled her close to him and kissed her, Jemma melted into the kiss. She thought it was the most wonderful thing ever. Skye walked by just then and cleared her throat making Fitz and Simmons break out of their kiss. "You two coming for breakfast or are you going to sit here making out?" Skye joked when they turned to look at her. "Skye, get out," Jemma said burying her face in Fitz's shoulder, "please." Skye laughed and went to the kitchen for breakfast. "We should probably go get breakfast before Skye blabs to everyone." Jemma said standing up and holding her hands out to Fitz. Fitz grabbed her hands and stood up, "Let's go." Fitz said kissing Jemma on the forehead. Jemma and Fitz walked to the kitchen and grabbed breakfast in silence. Bobbi and Skye started giggling, breaking the silence until May walked in and smacked Skye on the back of the head. "Hey, what was that for?" Skye asked rubbing the back of her head. "Quit giggling, it's too early for giggling," May said, "what are you two even giggling about." Jemma stopped making herself breakfast, "They're giggling about the fact that Skye saw Fitz and I kiss." Jemma said and went back to making herself breakfast.
