Thursday-
Emily and her parents arrived at the park. A section of the park was covered in police tape. There stood the bloody body of her sister. A tree nearby the body was covered in bloody words. "Glued to this carousel" Emily cringed at these words, she was in tears now. A car's headlights captured the attention of Emily. Ezra stepped out of the car and walked over to Emily. "I heard about Annie on the news. Either way thanks for calling me." She said." Do those words seem familiar?" Emily asked pointing to the bloody words.
"Of course. It's from Melanie Martinez's song carousel. It's one of my favorites." Emily's tears caused Ezra's instincts to force her arms around Emily into a hug.
"Hey...It's alright. Honor your sister." Ezra says. Emily's heart fluttered, she wanted to scream. Her eyes went small as she screamed loudly. Ezra grabbed Emily's hands and held her back. A medic quickly stabbed a needle into Emily's shoulder.
Everything slowly swirled and faded away...
Emily soon woke up in a white room."Emily..." Emily slowly looked around. There she saw the source of the words, Ezra.
"You're awake!" Emily's mother hugged her. The door opened slowly. A low voice talked slowly, Emily recognized this voice, and it was the last voice she'd ever want to hear.
"Sorry, I'm late." Her brother said. He looked like he didn't even care. Which was exactly how he felt.
A 'Smack!' was heard through the empty room. A small blood drop falls to the floor along with another one, only bigger. Ezra's hand was covered in drops of the dark red substances, along with Emily's brother's face. Ezra's slap had brought a deeper silence into the room.
Nate was smiling in a twisted way. He turned his twisted smile into a smirk." Please slap me harder Ezra~" He purred. Ezra took hold of Nate by the neck but then stopped in the realization that Emily's family was watching.
"I'll deal with you later." She hissed. Ezra slowly walked out of the room. Her hands in her black hoodie and hood on.
A couple of days later Emily was back at school. Her grades had dropped, not too low but to a B. Her parents didn't scowl her, they didn't punish her, they too had not done their best at work, but they were doing better.
There was something missing...Emily couldn't figure it out. It felt...empty...she felt...oddly...strange...
