Two days passed by, which the school had an assembly where Principle Celestia announced try outs for the Friendship Games were after school, triggering the first step in the Ed's plan to make another money load. Their plan was to sell CHS merchandise to "support" the students who were competing in the games, selling stuff like pendants, hats, foam fingers etc. The only reason how they got all this stuff is from Rarity, who bought the stuff at their time of need with her own money, acting upon her element of Generosity.
As the last school bell rang, Ed carried over 40 pounds of wood over to the back of the school field, where the students who want to participate in the games were training at.
"Go ahead and place them where I'm standing at Ed." Eddy marks the place to put the wood at, but Ed immediately throws it where he was standing, so he was crushed. "No lumpy! I meant the place I marked on!" He growls at the think skull of a boy, until Edd wipes the dirt off of him saying, "Never mind Eddy, we have an objective to fulfill, there will be no time to waste!"
The wood then folds into a shack, set up to look like a market. "You got the headphones with those speaking things from the library Ed?" Eddy looks at him, while he pulls it out of his pocket and puts it on, so did Edd.
"You start the grand opening sock-head, I wanna save my good accent for later! I've been practicing..." Eddy tightens his bow, while Edd raised an eyebrow with a smile and took the microphone.
"Attention, attention everyone please, we have an important message for you all!" The kids who were either watching the training students on the bleachers or walking by now looked at Edd.
Ed yanks the headphones out of Eddy's ears as if he had something to say, "Come one! Come all! To Ed'z Sportz CZenter! For all of your memories of friendships!" Eddy seemed a bit annoyed about his ear treatment, but the message did seem to bring the boys costumers.
"Remarkable Eddy! Your plan worked! I never expected this many costumers!" Edd worked as fast as he could to satisfy the people who were in front of the line.
Several customers later, Ed retrieves a box full of CHS hats from the office, he bumps into a girl in a green dress with matching colored hair and eyes in the middle of the way out.
"AHHHH!!!! Mushy sticky girl!!!" Ed barrel rolls away from here with the box and scurries away with it. Leaving the girl a bit confused. "Uhh.... I'm sowy for bumping into you wike that..." She shyly waves as she walks away a bit guilty, not watching what's in front of her.
Ed comes back to the market, where the other two boys finish their job with the last costumer of the line, Eddy jumped out of the shack and said, "We done it again guys! we made another mother load!" He said happily, taking out the jar of coins and dollars. Edd looks at the jar and said, "That's good we made over $50, but I suggest we give 10% to pay back Rarity for her generosity."
At first he didn't like that idea, but after hearing Edd talk about his own actions and compares them to Rarity's, he coughs up 10 bucks to her, he wasn't happy to hand it over, but he felt a bit good to pay someone back for help, its the least he could've done. Rarity didn't want the money, but seeing how much Eddy LOVES money and how willing he is, she was happy to see him choose a friendly soul then a greedy-selfish one.
"This only took an hour to complete, so what do we do now?" The boys thought for an activity to pass the time, until someone from behind yelled, "Help! Help! Anyone please!!" Fluttershy comes running outside from the gym very worried. "Fluttershy! What seems to be the problem??" Edd asked as the boys rush to her, in concerned. "I can't find my little Angle bunny anywhere... I hope he's okay..." She freaks out of her lost pet, then the smart Ed thinks of the possible places it could've ran too, until the actual Ed speaks up, "If your talkin about the angry bunny, he ran into there."
He points at the obstacle course, running towards it, Edd runs along with him, yelling, "Angle is in good hands Fluttershy! He'll be good in good hands!" Soon Eddy goes inside the obstacle course, being blocked by a wall.
"I think the idea of this is too work together and reach the top, if both of you give me a lift, I can successfully reach the top and help you both!" Edd points out as the Eds perform their Trample-Ed, which helped the middle of the group. First he helped Eddy up, and then Ed together.
After the 1st obstacle, the three ran into a long track, which a large plastic ball fell onto the same place the boys were and began to chase after the boys. They ran away with all of their might, but it was gaining up fast. "I can't go on! Ed! It's all up to you! You gotta-" Edd trips on a rock, lastly holds onto Ed's leg.
Which he performs the same thing he did on the first day of school, which he moves with his arms faster his legs could ever. At the last minute, Eddy grabs on too, and before the ball could reach them, it comes to a complete stop at the very end.
The last obstacle includes a very narrow trail which includes a pool of water for anyone who would fall from the skinny wood. Eddy sees Angle sitting at the finish line on the other side, and breaths in relief.
"There's the little rabbit! One more obstacle and we're out of here!" Eddy tried to cross by himself but failed, the other two also tried and tried but ended with the same bad result.
"Oh my... I assume instead of going one at a time, we should try a new balance method..." Edd gets on Ed's shoulders, which Eddy climbed on top. "I feel heavy guys!" The big Ed boy said with wobbly legs.
"Don't worry Ed! Don't focus on how you feel, focus on your goal!" Moving slower then usual, he moved across the bride while Eddy and Edd kept his balance under control. At the last step, they reached the end and caught the rabbit.
"We did it! Let's get to Fluttershy quick! All this exercise and work is making me hungry."
Meanwhile with Fluttershy, she was sitting on a bench gloom for her missing pet, while Rainbow Dash tried to cheer her up.
"Fluttershy! Look who we have!" Edd comes running with Angle in his hands, making the girl run to him. "Thank you so much Edd! Your a true hero!" She hugs him tight, making him blush, Eddy held his laughter from this.
"Hey Fluttershy, why don't you give our hero here a kiss?" She blushed at what Eddy said, but she actually thought he meant it, so she slowly pecks his forehead. Edd was so nervous and hyped up with adrenaline, he wasn't prepared for a moment like this to come without a date, so he fell onto the ground out of conciseness.
"That was a mighty fine performance Ed boys." Principle Celestia and Luna came from behind clapping. "We have observed your skills and teamwork and loved it." Luna tells her opinion on their results. "Have you boys thought of competing in the Friendship Games?" Ed and Eddy look at each other and then at the unconscious boy.
"Uhh yeah sure we'll join, we gotta get this one to bed." Ed grabs Edd as they walk back to the cottage, when they left Rainbow pats Fluttershy's back, saying, "It's funny to see 2 people in love, isn't it?" Fluttershy blushed intensely and looks away, thinking about her small kiss.
"W-what just happened?... Why did Edd fall down?... Does he like me?... D-d.... Do I like him?....... More then a friend?...."
