Eddy doesn't admit when he or his friends are stuck between a rock and a hard place, but Eddy can easily surrender himself when he has to handle conflicts which involves romance with pretty girls like Sweetie Belle.
The 3 boys and girls just stood there, while Ed and Edd looked at Sweetie Belle to see how she felt about this. While Applebloom and Scootaloo looked back at Eddy to see how HE reacted to all of this and they both blushed madly.
"I... I don't even know what to say..." Sweetie said twiddling her hair in a shy way. Eddy stood there sweating like an animal, shaking like ice. But after seeing nothing was going through, Edd spoke up. "I suppose the two of you can properly talk to one another on the weekend and probably get to know each other, like a get-together." Ed was wondering why Edd didn't use the word "date" so he spoke up and said, "That's why they call it a date Edd! When a boy and girl like each other a lot, they- " Edd closes his mouth as fast as he could, before he can finish what Ed has on his mind.
Eddy blushed embarrassingly at his friends while they were only a foot away from them. So the boys and the girls left into their separate ways to class.
On the way the cottage from school, Edd had to take the wheel, because that whole scene was still fresh in Eddy's mind. The worst part about this was that he humiliated himself right by his friends. All that nonsense about his skills with the girls was all a fake from the beginning, even if he knew that Ed and Edd realized about the truth, he still felt quite down.
"Wow Eddy! You got yourself into a real pretzel now!" Ed said as he chuckles taking a bite of a pretzel. Eddy shoved his snack into Ed's mouth to shut him up. "Oh man... Today has to be the most emberressing day of my life..." He stresses out and places his hands on his face as he was still red and embarrassed. Edd pats his back, trying to make him fell better, "You shouldn't be over your head about this Eddy, romance can be a wonderful thing. I'm sure if you play your cards right and act more like gentleman, Sweetie Belle will definitely like you back!" Edd concludes an convincing statement to the short Ed boy.
"Easy for you to say... Your not the one under the pressure!" Eddy kicks the suitcase, still stressed on what he's supposed to do tomorrow with the girl. "Well all you need is a new look on clothes! Ed and I are glad to help you Eddy! After all, we're all friends here!" Edd smiles as Ed joins in the conversation, "OH! OH! Does that mean date preparation montage time??" Edd nods as the two taller boys stepped out of the door, "I'm sure a new look is the thing to boost your confidence!" Eddy blinks with his eyebrows crooked and facepalms. "That's the exact same thing Rarity would say! I've been in that history class for too long..." He sighed and slouched to the Magical Millennium Monster with Ed and Edd.
The three traveled around the city about an hour and found a store nearby called, "The Canterlot Boutique" which was owned by Sweetie Belles older sister. When they did find Eddy the right clothes, he wasn't so sure about this new look. "I... I seriously don't know about this... W-what if I'm rusty?..." Eddy asked over and over in different ways, but Edd kept repeating his answer of "Not to worry, you'll be fine."
The next day had rolled bye and Eddy waits on a bench in the local park alone waiting for his date in his new clothes and combed hair. "Ed, Edd... If I embarrass myself on this date with this lousy outfit... I'm going too... (Sigh...)" Eddy stops as he sees his date in a white dress and a cute spring hat. "I-I'm here... You look handsome today..." Sweetie places her hands behind and blushes at Eddy, also thinking twice of her own outfit. But the boy was even more nervous then her, he was sweating. Edd gave him a list of things to say on his very date, so when he was finally able to speak, he said, "Thanks... M -may like to add you look fantastic in that dress today..." Sweetie smiles blinking as the boy just looks down in irritation. "What the hell am I saying?..." He said in his mind in a annoyed way, feeling like a complete dork, saying something as sappy as that, Sweetie saw how he felt, and they both sigh through the air.
"Eddy... I don't think these clothes are going to work out..." The boy nods in an awkward way. "Tell me about it, this thing is tightening my body, let's meet back here in a half hour and change..."
The two went back where they came from to change in their more comfortable public clothes. And when they saw one another, they smiled in relief, "Guess fashion isn't my thing, I'm more of the hunk if you know what I mean..." Edd rubs his knuckles on his shirt, trying to crack up a joke, which made her laugh at Eddy's joke. "I see your more of a clown Eddy... So what do you wanna do first?"
He looks around and they just walked through the park and they began to bond with similar interests, like jawbreakers, parties, music, and their cooperation with their two friends. An hour later after leaving the park, they spend their last minutes in the moonlight in the city...
"Man Sweetie Belle! I never met another girl that was into a lot of stuff I like! Probably because I met only like 5 girls in my life..." Eddy walks backwards in front Sweetie as she giggles, but suddenly stops. "5? How is that possible?" She asked as he begins to explain. "I seriously only grown up with 5 girls in my life. Sarah, Ed's annoying little sister, Nazz, a cool girl who Edd has a crush on, and those gross Kankers..." Eddy shook in disgust, which only made Sweetie raise her eyebrow. "Who are the Kankers?" Like Edd, Eddy had to explain who the sisters were and what they have done to him, Sweetie gasped reacting, "OH MY GOODNESS! Why don't you ever call the cops on them??" Eddy shrugged, and looked at his watch, "Hmp... It's late, better take you home before your sis blows up like a marshmallow filled with fire." Sweetie giggled at the joke and nods, as the two returned to her place. "Oh... Before you go... Wanna hang out after school for a jawbreaker?" Sweetie smiles and nods to his invitation as he smiled back, returning to the cottage.
Ed and Edd were playing cards, which left something like, "I place one card face down and end my turn." Ed states his move, while the other sees who came through the door. "Good evening Eddy, how was the date?" The boy sat with the other two and said, "It was a lot of work, but still a cool experience." Ed sticks his tongue out with his mouth open, showing that it was gross. "Stop it lumpy, don't give me any of that girl bogie trash." He walks into his room to pack it up for the night, and soon enough, the other two packed up along with him...
