ME: I want to sleep.
EMILIA: Me, too. For a long time. Maybe 30 hours.
ME: That would be a coma.
EMILIA:
EMILIA: That sounds so refreshing. I could honestly go for a light coma now.
And I laughed, and then we -or at least I- finished my sandwich as she picked at hers, only having eaten a light salad. She was eating, although not much. But it was an improvement, even though I doubted it as I watched her toy around with the croutons in her bowl, but never into her mouth.

JOURNALISM ROOM, 7: 48
GRANT: Did you hear about the new movie coming out?
ME: The movie called "Coming Out", or a new movie which is coming out in cinemas?
GRANT:
GRANT: The second one.
ME: Oh, no. I haven't. I haven't heard of the other one either.
ME:
GRANT:
GRANT: Is there a movie called "Coming Out"?
I shrug and continue doodling on his arm with a pen. The dark ink is not much of a contrast with his tanned skin, but it shows up alright. He's reading some articles on the computer but it's nothing he can't do without one hand.
I have drawn an entire galaxy on his arm, plus some flowers, except I can't draw any except for peonies,daisies,azaleas and maybe roses. But it's alright. Neither of us care.
GRANT: Hey, are you free this weekend?
ME:
ME: Yeah.

Ethan is with a guy when I meet him at the art studio. He has pale blonde, almost white peroxide blonde hair, and warm brown eyes, much in contrast to Ethan's jet black hair and navy eyes. They seem engaged in conversation, and they are sitting close, on opposite sides of the table. I slide in next to Ethan, pulling out my sketchbook and pencils.
ETHAN: Hey, Ree.
OTHER GUY: Ree? Is that your name?
He smiles, and I notice his left dimple and the faint spray of freckles across his skin. I nod.
ME: Well, it's Reagan. But Ree is fine.
OTHER GUY: Cool. I'm Ezra.
It fits him.
