A/N: So so sorry for not posting up anything in a really long time. Sadly life has gotten the best of me and I've slightly forgotten about Shina and Connor. I'll be picking up the story again so so sorry for the wait!

-------------------------------------------------------

Connor could feel his chest aching. The car drove through traffic into the richest part of town. His brother rolled in dough and he didn't want to be seen around the younger classes. Connor held his head in his hands as they rounded the corner of the large Wayland building. It was a large building that towered over many of he others. His brother was in the very top of the building usually and he was always looking down at the people below him.

As the car pulled into the parking lot and let Connor out another car pulled up next to theirs. Looks like he had gotten there just in time. His brother stepped out of the black car a smile on his face. He looked a lot like Connor, muscular yet conservative in his looks. His hair was dark black but was spiked up to keep it out of his eyes. He was wearing a navy blue suit and a nice tie. Connor smiled softly, "Rick...how nice to see you." He said as his brother hugged one of his shoulders.

"Connor! Long time no see. How are you liking the summer house?" He asked walking Connor up to the large glass doors to the building.

"I like it a lot. Beautiful out there and quiet." Connor said tersely pulling his shoulder out from Ricks grasp.

"I heard you have been gaining a ton of new servants. Not getting lonely up there are you?" He asked with a laugh pushing the up elevator button to take them to the 21st floor.

Connor shook his head, "No. I'm still fully content there. It is true I've found myself some more servants but that's because the house is so large. I can't take care of it all on my own." He said with a light laugh as the elevator kicked into gear. It effortlessly carried the two men up to the highest floor opening its doors with a happy chime.

"Well I'm happy you've found comfort there." Rick said with a smile walking to the long desk which was his. He sat down and ran a hand through his hair. "You do know why you are here Connor. Right?" He asked.

Rick was older than Connor, and even though he still looked young he was growing older and older every year. At 50, he was having a hard time balancing his family and work together. Dark lines covered his face but they weren't laugh lines. They were from constantly having a stern look on his face and being in a bad mood all the time. Connor looked away with a nod, "Yes. I know why I'm here...I see you haven't changed. Always wanting to get down to business." He said and sat down in the chair across from his brother.

Rick laughed and he sat back in his desk chair kicking his feet up on the desk. "No. I haven't. I like to get things done, unlike you." He said pushing a yellow envelope across the desk for Connor. "A marriage proposal...she is a beautiful woman and has been in the system for a long while. She understands the law of a woman in our line of work and is willing to mother your children without fail." Rick said pushing the marriage proposal closer to Connor.

Connor leaned forward taking the envelope in his hands and opened it. The picture of the woman was professional and formal. She sat in a room with a traditional robe on and her brown hair up in a bun. She was smiling a faint smile yet it didn't reach her eyes. Big breasted and small and even her face was beautiful. But something about her just didn't seem right to Connor.

"I thought I told you I wasn't looking for a wife...?" He said to Rick putting the photo back into the envelope and laying it on the desk.

"I know what you said. But it's about time you settled down Connor. You're going to take over this place when I die...you need a wife."

"I don't want a wife! What can't you get from that? I like living alone! I like being by myself."

Rick pinched the bridge of his nose, "Fine...at least take it with you and think it over? I already made an interview with her for you. Please go, don't stand the poor girl up..." He said faintly. He stood and walked to the front of his desk. "She's excited to meet you. Let her down gently."

Connor sighed and stood as well taking the envelope from Rick. "Fine. I'll think it over. But I'll turn her down just like all the rest." He said turning to walk away.

"I heard you bought a Neko." His brothers words stopped him in his tracks.

"How did you know about that?" He asked anger boiling in his veins. Who had told Rick? Knowing that it was against his family to buy servants out of the blue from the red light district.

"I can't tell. I heard...it was a beautiful thing. And, that you've already made it yours." He said standing and pushing away from the desk walking to Connor. "I hope this isn't the reason why you're turning down this offer."

Connor blinked and looked away, "I haven't made it mine yet and I don't plan to. He is a servant nothing more. I didn't buy him for those things. Whoever's been talking to you is giving you faulty information. I don't want the offer because I don't want a wife."

Connor turned and left the office. He went to the elevator not looking behind him as he heard his brother slam the door he had come out of. Connor was furious. He had a bigger problem than a marriage proposal now, someone was leaking information. A servant, one he rescued, was telling secrets. He slammed the door of the car after getting in his chest heaving in anger. He was going to have to have a few words with his servants.

Shina sighed softly his hands digging into his eyes as he left the masters office from cleaning it. He found working as the masters personal butler was even harder than what he did with May. He rubbed the back of his neck looking up as he heard the sound of a car pulling up to the mansion. He paused a moment, Connor shouldn't be home till later.

Shina trotted down the stairs as the other servants started to gather around the entrance. He found his spot by May and smiled to her with a with a gentle look. His ears twitched and the smile fell as he heard Connor get out of the car and slam the door. He could hear him walking up to the house and opening the door letting it fly open. Most of the servants bowed except for May and Shina who stood in shock.

Connor looked at everyone lined up and as his eyes stopped in Shina the small boy bowed. "Everyone. We are having a staff meeting. Meet me in the ballroom." He said sternly and everyone started to disperse. Shina looked to May and she took his hand in hers before walking toward the ballroom with everyone else. Connors voice stopped them and Shina flinched when he heard it, "Not you Shina."

Shina's ears flattened and he looked at May but she simply nodded. He turned and looked at Connor his face angled down. "Y-yes sir..?" He asked weakly wondering what he had done to get Connor in such a big fuss.

Before Shina knew it he had arms around him. He stiffened but relaxed feeling Connor breathe him in. "I'm sorry...something happened with my brother. Someone knows where you came from and they are saying...that I am sleeping with you."

Shina's eyes widened and he pulled back from Connor. "S-sleeping with you? Who knows about my past Connor...? Did you tell anyone where you found me..!" He asked tears prickling at his vision. Had Connor really boasted about his whore?

Connor shook his head gently and he sighed, "I didn't tell a soul about you. I was hoping you had told someone and you knew who was spreading the lie.." He said hopeful.

Shina paused. The only person he had told his secret to was May. "Connor....the only person who knows about my past is May...but..."

He was cut off by Connors growl, and a hand pulling his wrist. He was being dragged toward the ballroom his ears flat on his head. "C-Connor I don't think-" he was cut off again.

"Shut up. She's ruined everything!" He said anger in his voice. Shina decided to shut up, just like that, and followed weakly to accuse May of betrayal.
