"Babe, do you have a headache?"

"Huh?"

"You've been rubbing your temple with your eyes shut for the last five minutes."

"Oh, I...it's nothing, just a lot of weird thoughts I need to get rid of."

"Want to tell me about them?"

"No."

"Okay. Just remember that if you ever need to, you can talk to me. I'm your best friend."

"I know."

"..."

"Actually, yes. I do want to talk about how I'm feeling."

"Okay. Spill."

"Well, I'm just seeing red right now and I have a ton of anger inside of me."

"The reason being...?"

"That girl from number 406! She's been driving me nuts!"

"...Is she the one? I can see her through the window, with red jeans."

"Yeah, that's her. She's been standing outside her apartment all day, on the phone with someone, moping about how her boyfriend is taking her to a cheaper restaurant for their anniversary, instead of the five star one he had initially planned on."

"..."

"And I know it's wrong of me to eavesdrop on her conversation and it's even worse to judge her based on what I overheard but I can't help it. She's infuriating me."

"Is this because of Paul?"

[Sound of sobs.]

"It's just so...hard. He's...he's gone to serve the country, I know. I should be proud. But...you know how it is. I live every day in fear of receiving a letter about him. Of finding out that he'll never come back."

"Oh, sweetie."

"I'm always so, so scared!"

"..."

"..."

"I know."

"And then there are these girls who walk around, crying because their boyfriend isn't taking them to a fancy place for their two day anniversary."

"Two day?"

"Well, it might be months."

"..."

"Or years. But that's not the point! The point is that I can't stand people being ungrateful about these things when they should be thanking their lucky stars that their loved ones are still alive! I mean, my husband is out there in the army! He might be dead right now, as I speak!"

"Hey, now, don't say that."

"But..."

"Let's go get you some water, shall we?"

"But what if Paul..."

"Shh, honey. Come."
