"I don't see why you two are always hanging out and texting each other," Alexander murmurs grumpily. John glances down from his phone at the smaller man, who had moved away from his side a while ago and is now angstily playing Pokémon.
"Hey man, what'd you have against Peggy? Doesn't she like, tell you anything?" John laughs, nudging Alex. His smile disappears when Alex simply grunts and leans farther away from him. "What- What the hell did I do?" he asks and leans closer to his friend.
"It's nothing! God, just let me... I'm just trying to catch an Eevee," Alexander mutters, his back almost completely facing John. John huffs and starts typing out his reply to Peggy, and then it dawns on him.
"Wait a minute. Are you jealous?" John asks with a laugh.
"No! Why the fuck would I be jealous of Peggy?" Alex snaps, his hands dropping so that the screen of the 3DS snaps back.
John blinks. Oh. So he's right. "I never mentioned Peggy. Do you... Do you like me?"
Alex ignores John in favor of saving his game.
"Awww, you like me don't you?" John laughs, leaning across the couch to wrap his arms around Alex.
"No I don't," Alexander mutters. John can tell by the way Alex is blushing and refusing to make eye contact that he totally does. It makes more sense as to why Alexander is always at his house and is always stealing his sweaters.
"You do! Aw, Alex, that's so cute! You're so cute," he says brightly. He pulls Alex close to his chest, nuzzling into his hair.
"John, knock it off!" Alex whines, but leans back into John and pulls his arms closer around him.
Alexander jolts when John presses a kiss against his forehead. "Aww, honey, did I startle you?"
Alex falls silent and tilts his head up, kissing John's chin. "Maybe. Are we boyfriends now?"
John stops for a moment and blinks. Are they boyfriends? He feels himself blush brightly. "Do you want to be boyfriends? Like, really really boyfriends?"
"Like, really really boyfriends," Alexander confirms, sealing the deal with another kiss.
