K A L I N A

I woke up to an empty bed and the smell of something sweet in my nostrils. I get up, walk into my closet and slip on my slippers, and my new robe and make my way downstairs.

When I walk into my kitchen not only do I see Justin cooking, but I see my best friend sitting on the counter icing cinnamon rolls. They're talking about something that's apparently funny because Nyla is laughing her ass off.

"Well good morning everyone." I say, placing my hand on my hip.

Nyla whipped her head around, grinning so hard she looked like her mouth would rip apart.

"Hey babyyyyyy" Nyla screamed, jumping off the counter and attacking me with a hug, me gripping her tightly.

"What are you doing here?" I asked her.

"Justin needed my help with something special so I decided to come back early. Did you enjoy your night?" She asked, smiling devilishly.

"So that's how he did all of that. Wow. But yes, I did, very much so. Thank you both." I said blushing at the thought.

"Want some breakfast beautiful?" Justin asked me, causing me to blush yet again.

"Yes I'm starving, handsome." I walk over to him, wrapping my arms around him.

He hugs me back, then lets me go to fix my plate - eggs, Bacon, and a cinnamon roll. I'm in heaven.

As I'm eating I think about the fact that I haven't talked to my brothers in a bit. Nyla's Cinnamon rolls are our favorite, so they will be jealous to hear that she made them for me this morning. I decide that I will call them after breakfast and I get dressed and ready for my day.

"Nyla I'm gonna call the boys later and tell them about my breakfast. They're gonna be so pissed." I said, laughing.

"Yeah they are, you know how they are about my cinnamon rolls. When are they gonna come visit? I can't believe I'm saying this, but I actually miss their aggravating asses." She said, taking a bite of her food.

"I'm not sure, school ended last week so maybe soon. I miss them too though, and I really want them to meet Justin. They would love him." I said, looking over at a surprised Justin.

"You want your brothers to meet me?" He asked, raising his eyebrows.

"Of course, why would I not? They're super cool, you will like them a lot." I said, getting up to put my plate in the sink.

"Okay, well when you call them ask them when they can come. All of us can stay at my place, Nyla included. I have a week off from working, so it'll be really chill." Justin said, looking excited.

"Wow, really? Are you sure? You're so fucking sweet Justin." I said, sitting on his lap, smiling.

"Yes of course, I'm just being myself. Seriously, I love having fun. Just let me know what they say." He said kissing my cheek.

I nodded my head and got up to go upstairs. After I showered I threw on some jeans and a T-shirt on and headed back downstairs. I went onto the back patio to call my brothers.

I dialed Kam's number because he always answers when I call, and after the second ring he picked up.

"Sisssss" he exclaimed through the phone.

"Hey Kam, what y'all doing?"

"Nothing really, just playing 2K. What you doing?"

"Just got done eating some of Nyla's cinnamon rolls. I miss y'all so much"

"Hey, don't try to get off the subject of those cinnamon rolls, y'all ain't real for that. But, we miss you too sis. It's been a while since we've seen you."

"I know, y'all are out of school right?"

"Yeah, we got out last week."

"Well how about I come pick y'all up tomorrow after you go to church with ma? Y'all can spend a week if you want."

"Oh hell yes, we'll be packed and ready."

"Okay, I have a new friend I want y'all to meet. We're gonna be staying at his house, okay?"

"Like a boyfriend? How you moved in with a new boyfriend and we haven't even met him yet?"

"Not exactly, but I like him. And no we don't live together, he invited us all to come stay while he's on break from work. Trust me, he has plenty of room, 11 to be exact."

"Damn Kali, 11 rooms? Is the nigga famous? Who is he?"

"Yeah he is, and I'm not telling. You'll see when you get here. I love you, tell Kris too. I'll see y'all tomorrow afternoon."

"Okay cool, we love you too sis."

I hung up the phone, then stared at it for a few minutes trying to decide whether or not I should call my older brother Karter. I decided that I would wait until the boys were here, maybe that would give him some incentive to come and see me, since he's always so busy.

As I'm sending my mom a text letting her know about my plans, Justin and Nyla walk outside, joining me.

"Did you call the boys?" Nyla asked.

"Yeah, I'm gonna go pick em up tomorrow afternoon. You know ma won't let them miss church." I say, rolling my eyes at the memories of being dragged to church with my mother.

"Of course not. I'm excited to see them, this should be a fun week. We should go and do a bunch of shit." She said, looking at her phone.

"Did you tell them that everyone is staying at my place?" Justin asked.

"Yeah, I told them. But I wouldn't tell them who you are. They would make a huge deal about it. I told them they'll find out who you are when they get here tomorrow." I said grinning at him.

"You're mean, you know that." He said, shaking his head. I just gave him a stare.

"I'm going to head home, I have a few things I have to handle before my break starts next week. I'll see you both tomorrow." He said waving at us.

"Text me when you can, if you aren't too busy or whatever." I said, smiling and waving back him.

"I can do that, princess." He said as he walked through the door.

I felt a slap on my arm, and turned quickly to look at Nyla.

"What the fuck Nyla!" I yelled.

"Bitch, you don't even know how lucky you are. Your man is catering to you and your bad ass brothers. He moves at your say so, you better hold on to him and tight. If you don't, I will, shittt." She said laughing.

"Oh, I am. Trust me girl. I can't wait for him to meet the boys, they're gonna love each other. I'm really hoping that I can get Karter out too, I miss him a lot." I said, fiddling with my hands.

"Well I mean, you already know how Karter is. So don't get your hopes up." She said frowning at me.

"I'm not, just wishful thinking." I said, as we made our way back into the house for a day of relaxation before our crazy week started.
