Kim Jinhwan | Talk About Awkward

You and your close friends, who are mostly known as iKON, were at the living room. Some were sitting on the large sofa, which includes you, whilst the others were laying down on the carpeted floor. You and the boys were having a movie night in your house with snacks arranged on top of the glass table in front of you.

"So what do you guys wanna watch?" Bobby asked whilst looking through the stacked DVD's near the TV.

"How about Romance and Comedy," Yunhyeong suggested rather excitedly and the others complained like spoiled brats they were. Yunhyeong just pouted and crossed his arms cutely like a little kid, giving up since most of them protested against him.

"Horror!" Junhoe butted in loudly and the other boys quickly agreed with him. Yunhyeong just kept quiet, sulking silently to himself. You, on the other hand, didn't really have a choice since most of them preferred the said genre, even though you were pretty much a scaredy-cat for horror movies. And that didn't help since you were seated at the very side of the large sofa with Jinhwan beside your right.

Heaving out a sigh, you tried to position yourself more comfortably on your seat despite the awkward feeling you were having with the boy beside you.

Bobby then pressed the play button and the movie started. The Evil Dead. It started off pretty normal, at least not as scary as you thought it seemed. That is, until it came to the part where the main girl turned into something unexpected and a piercing scream was heard.

You quickly shut your eyes tight and unintentionally hugged Jinhwan's arm, shaking in fear. Opening your eyes, you hastily pulled back in sudden realization, your cheeks burning because of embarrassment. By instincts, you quickly excused yourself that you needed something to drink without looking at his reaction.

You touched onto your cheeks the moment you were in the kitchen. Your lips slowly and unconsciously curled upwards into a smile.

You always felt different towards him. Although you and the boys were close with each other like siblings, you always seen him as someone more than a family nor a friend. You liked him. Or maybe even more than that. Love perhaps? Too bad he only treats you like his little sister though.

You lightly shook your head and lightly slapped yourself. "Stop it, Y/N," you told yourself.

You looked like a crazy person talking to yourself, really. Lucky for you, you were alone. Well, at least you thought you were.

"Why are you talking to yourself?"

You suddenly jumped in surprise when you heard a familiar voice of a guy behind you. You slowly turned around and was slightly taken aback when you realized it was Kim Jinhwan.

"N-nothing," you stammered stupidly. A smirk slowly formed at the corners of his lips as he sauntered towards you.

Your heart began to palpitate and your knees started to shake in terror. For once, you were actually scared of what he was about to do. You tried moving backwards with him closing in slowly.

"Jinhw—" You were about to say something, but he beat you to it. He shook his head, still slowly moving closer. "Let me talk first," he said. "I always wanted to do this, but I was too scared to ruin our friendship. I was a coward."

'Am I hearing right?' You thought. Is he trying to confess?

Before you know it, he had you pinned against the white wall as you barely had the time to comprehend where things were getting. His cold, hard gaze met your eyes and you just froze. You didn't know what to do at that very moment. You were too mezmerized by his handsome face.

You felt his hand tuck a loose strand of hair behind your ear, his gaze still fixed on yours. "God, you're so beautiful," he whispered. You unconsciously bit your lower lip after hearing those words and his stare followed it.

And slowly, he moved his body closer towards yours. You couldn't move. It was like your surroundings suddenly turned into a stop with just the two of you. Both of your faces were inches apart and you could feel his hot breath tickling your nose. His heart shaped mole below his eye was now clearly visible, one of the things you loved about him.

You just closed your eyes, expecting for his lips to touch yours, until a familiar thick and husky voice of a male interrupted the whole scene. "Um, did I disturb something?"

You and Jinhwan hastily turned around to face the person. It was Koo Junhoe and he was bringing a large popcorn in his hand, a perplexed look plastered on his face. Your face turned bright red because of embarrassment after realizing what was about to happen. What almost happened.

Talk about awkward.
