Kim Donghyuk | Pet Shop

Your best friend have been pestering you to get her a present for her upcoming birthday, and you absolutely have no idea on what kind of gift you would give her.

You then decided to drop by the pet shop, since you remembered that your friend had been wanting a pet for herself.

"Annyeonghaseyo," You whispered as you entered the shop.

There is no one to be seen, and you started wondering if the shop is opened or not.

You examined the place. The pleasant ambience gave you a soothing feeling to your mind. As you walked around the shop, you looked though cages and glasses with cute pets inside. Fishes, rabbits, tortises and hamsters can be seen.

You can't deny on how cute they looked so you decided to stare at them with twinkling eyes and immitated the way they moved and looked.

You moved towards the fish section, and started making faces that you thought would be similar to theirs.

"Bloop bloop~" You chirped as you made a 'fish-related' aegyo. While doing so, you could feel a pair of eyes observing your actions and you turned your head towards your right.

"I'm sorry, I sh-should get going--"

You paused when the person you were talking to started chuckling. You looked down in embarassment, covering your reddened face with your long wavy hair.

He walked nearer to you, towering you due to his height. He then craned his neck to look at you clearly.

You looked back at him, and you could've sworn that the close distance between the both of you made you feel a bit warm.

"Are you going to buy a fish for your friend?" He asked, looking back at the fish you were immitating earlier on. "I can give you a discount on that."

So he's the shop owner, you thought. Wait a second, your mind jerked.

"How come you knew I was going to buy something for a friend?" You raised a brow.

"I overheard your conversation with Hwayoung at school?" He admitted, adjusting his messy hair at the same time.

You showed him your confused look. Knowing that you needed more explanations, he continued.

"Remember when your books fell at the hallway and a guy helped you?"

You nodded. You were on the phone talking with Hwayoung when you tripped over something causing the pile of books you were holding to scatter across the floor. You felt thankful for the guy to help you, but you didn't say thanks as you were talking on the phone.

"That guy was me. I helped carry them and had overheard what you were saying over the phone," He explained.

"Too bad my help wasn't appreciated, since I didn't hear any thanks from you." He added, leaning against the fish tank as he fake his dissapointment towards you.

"What's your name?" You asked him.

"Donghyuk. Kim Donghyuk."

"Well, thank you for helping me earlier on, Donghyuk."

"It's too late to say that." Donghyuk stood up straight, now the distance between the both of you is dangerously close.

"What do you mean?" You half whispered, the butterflies in your stomach goes wild.

He looked at his watch. "Oh look it's lunchtime," He paused before facing you back. "Eat lunch with me as a thank you gift."

"But-"

"Either eat with me or kiss my lips." He shushed, giving you goosebumps all over.

It's just the two of you at the shop, and you couldn't deny on how awkward this is.

He began biting his lips sexily before trying to reach his lips to yours.

"Wait! Fine, I'll eat lunch with you," You pushed him away slightly. "Sheesh, we just met and you're treating me like this already." You murmured.

"What?" Donghyuk crossed his arms.

"Shut up and give me a discount on that orange coloured fish." You walked away from him and waited for him at the exit.

While doing so, you could've sworn that you heard him say something that made you blush terribly.

"My type. She's my type."
