Chapter 1- good friends and sad goodbyes

Kate was sitting in her room. I walked in and she looked up. She was reading a book. Typical Kate, always seems to be lost in a book. "Hey", I said, taking a seat beside her. "Hey", she said, closing her book. I really loved Kate, more than just best friends. I was finally going to ask her to be my girlfriend. "I have to show you something", she blurted out. "What?" I asked, confused. "Come with me and I'll show you."

She led me to the place we met: The W.I.C.K.E.D Garden. The Garden has beautiful flowers, bushes, and beautiful walking stones. It's probably the prettiest place in the world now. And it's also the place we met. This is how we met: I went to the garden. I was exploring W.I.C.K.E.D. and came across the Garden. I was admiring the peace and beauty when I heard a girl's voice. The prettiest voice I ever heard.

"Hey, do you need help?" I turned around and saw the most beautiful girl in the universe. She had blonde, long, straight hair. It looked unbelievably soft. She had beautiful, baby blue eyes. She had a small freckle above her lip on the side. Her lips were full, shimmering, and lovely. She wore black leggings with black combat boots. She also had on a black leather jacket with a plain black shirt.

"Um, no, I don't need help. I was just walking around, exploring. Chancelor Paige said I could". "Oh, cool" , said the girl, walking up to me. "Mind if I hang out with you?" She asked. "Yeah, sure" I smiled. She smiled back at me. "I'm Kate" she introduced. "I'm Thomas" I said. That's were Kate and I began.....

Kate led me to the spot we talked when we first met. "Wow, Thomas, this is so beautiful. Don't you think?" She asked looking around. "Eh, I've seen prettier," I said, looking at Kate. "What could be prettier than this?" Asked Kate, still looking like a kid on Christmas morning. "You," I told her. She looked at me with those astonishing baby blue eyes. "Oh Thomas, that's so sweet" she beamed. "Kate, there's something I have to tell you" I said, now very nervous. "What is it Thomas?" Asked Kate. "I know we've been best friends for a long time, and you are amazing, brilliant, and beautiful. But there's something I've been dying to say since I first layed eyes on you". "Kate, I- but I couldn't say more. Kate pushed me to the ground, and jumped to where I was standing, just in time to get stabbed in the chest. Right over her heart. I jumped up quickly. Jacob pulled the knife out. Jacob had a crush on Kate. He stalked her, harassed her, and constantly bugged her about dating him. He was the biggest creep at W.I.C.K.E.D. Incorporated. I was always worried that Jacob would try to hurt Kate for not liking him back. And I was right.

"If I can't have her, than no one can", said Jacob, as he walked away. I would have quickly ran and snapped his neck right then and there, but Kate needed me right now. She fell backwards just as I caught her. I layed her down on the ground, her head in my lap. "Hey, it's okay, your going to make it".. I trailed off, mostly telling that to myself. If I lost her, I don't know what I would do.

"Thomas, my chest" Kate breathed. "Shh, you'll make it, hold on, help is on the way" I told her. She grabbed my hands, "Thomas, I love"- but that was all that could be heard from Kate. She died.
