Chapter 3: Company Problems

It's really hard to manage a company while studying.

I, Gabriellie Anne Mitchie A. Grandidge, is having a hard time managing our company while studying.

I press the buzz button for my secretary to come in my office.

"Jessy, do I have a meeting today?" I asked. She take a look at her notebook.

"Yes ma'am, 4:00 pm with the Chinese clients"

"Okay, thank you" I said as she go back to her table outside, then the office phone rings.

"Hello, Grandidge company" I said

"Ma'am!" The person in the other line said with such worry in his voice.

"Yes"? Who's this?" I said confused

"I'm Richard from Minigema apparel, Ma'am we have a problem the VECO bank will sue us if we haven't pay our debt in the bank" He said

"I will fix that" I said and hung up the phone. I place my hand on my forehead and close my eyes. Why on earth I didn't know about the problem about the VECO bank? I look at my watch on my wrist.

"9:30" I said aloud. Shoot I have classes, I grab my bag and go to school. After classes I hurriedly go to Minigema clothing company. I called Bea my secretary in Minigema Apparel.

"Ma'am before your dad passed away this company is in the brink of bankrupt but he wants to save this because there are many factory workers or who are working here that might loose their jobs that is why he loaned in VECO bank" She Explained

"Okay" I said as I leaned on my table and breathe in and out. I decided to go to the VECO office to settle this issue.

"Excuse me, is Mr. VECO here?" I ask the secretary

"Sorry ma'am but Mr. Veco is the former owner of this bank" The secretary answered

"Can I just talk to the person's in charge?" I said

"Yes ma'am this way" she pointed at the brown door so I go towards the instructed direction. I opened the door the CEO was in his swivel chair but he's not fronting me.

"Good afternoon" I greeted then He turned his swivel chair around and I was so shocked.

"James?" I said completely shocked

"James let's talk about this, please give me time to pay you" I said

"Take a sit" He said. I take a seat as I have been told.

"I'm sorry Ms. Grandidge but business is Business" he said. My smile faded.

"So.. Your going to sue me?" I asked

"Yes, unless..."

"Unless what?"

"Be my girlfriend" he said.

Wait-- What?! Is he insane.

"Your block mailing me" I raise a tone

"Then.. I have to sue you"

"Fine, let me think about it" I said and got out of his office. I got in my car and think of another solution. Is he really insane? What makes him think of it? I have to agree in that or unless I'll go to jail.

Think of any options Gab!!! I check my bank accounts and my properties. But it's not enough to pay our debt. We have 50 million debt in the bank!!! What a life!! I can't spend the money in my other businesses or else it will be the one who would be bankrupt.

I drove back home for me to take a rest. As soon as I reach my house I headed my way towards my room. I close my eyes and quickly fell in dreamland.

"Ma'am, Ma'am, you have a phone call" one of my maids said as she tap my arms. I slowly open my eyes. I extend my hand reaching the phone from the maid. As soon as she handed me the phone he got out of my room.

"Okay, Jessy" I said and put down the phone. I glance at the clock stood on the table beside my bed. It's 5:00 pm, I rested for almost 2 hours. I grab my bag and darted out of my room. I met my maid in the middle of the stairway.

"Ma'am, there's a lawyer looking for you" She said. I follow my maid towards the Living room.

"Good afternoon Ms. Grandidge" She greeted me.

"Good afternoon" I greeted her back and gave her a smile.

"So, what's the matter Ms.?" I said giving her the expression that says 'what's your surname'

"I'm Atty. Mendrez, sent by VECO bank" she stated extending her right hand to shake hands. I shook her hands with my hands.

"Ms. Grandidge, my client wants to talk with you about the debt or else he'll file a case against you" Attorney Mendrez stated

"Okay" The only word that comes out of my mouth. The moment when the lawyer was gone the house phone rangs. I go towards where the phone is and lift it up.

"Yes hello, Grandidge residence"

"So? Whats your plan?" He said. The voice sounds familiar and it's none other than James!!!

"Lets talk about it over dinner" I stated non-chalantly.

"Okay I'll be there in a jiff" he said on the other line

As soon as he hung up the phone I go to the kitchen and prepare a dinner for us. I cook a turbo chicken for the main dish which is James' favorite. I also made a cheese burger for the side dish and it's his favorite too. For the dessert I call Red ribbon for a delivery of chocolate cake. Lastly, for our drinks I made a mango shake.

James arrived on time because everything is all set. He sat beside me in the dining table and gobbled up the food as we talk about our family business.

"Okay, James, I agree of you being my boyfriend for one year" I said hesitating each word to come out of my mouth. The smile on his face grew bigger. Neither I was expecting-- he gave me a peck on the lips.

"Hey! Your too fast!" I said feeling irk in his sudden movement

"Your my girl now!" He said teasingly

"Goodnight baby!" He said and once again he gave a peck on the lips. I gave him a once over but he just smiled at me like an idiot.

Okay, so, 1st day of being James' girl will start tomorrow.

Aha. Aha. So excited to update guys.
