Chapter 2

*Scarlet's POV*

~1 Week Later~

"SCARLET!!!!" Shawn shouts startling me causing me to fall off my bunk onto the floor. 

"What?! Are you hurt?!" I ask looking up at him. He begins laughing hysterically causing me to growl at him 

"Scarlet, I'm fifteen today" He says smiling at me. I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding

"Shawn, screaming at me to wake me up isn't nice!" I say with a smile before getting up and hugging him "Happy Birthday little kid." I giggle as I watch his face scrunch up at my nick name for them. 

"I'm not little! I get to shift today" he says to me proudly making me smile at him 

"Well then, big boy lets go eat" I wake Tommy up who tells Shawn happy birthday and then all three of us head downstairs to find the house empty. This causes me to stiffen my guard instantly going up. 

I look around sniffing the air, when the boys see me doing this they get quiet and stay behind me as we head into the kitchen. When its empty and I don't smell anything wrong I shrug and start taking out pancake mix. "Scarlet, why is the house so empty?" Shawn asks. I give him a shrug as I mix my bowl of ingredients 

"They probably are off doing something. Let’s just eat and when they come back we can ask. Okay?" The boys both nod and by the time I've finished making pancakes we all are relaxed and happy. 

 I stifle a giggle as Shawn and Tommy both practically moan when they bite into a pancake "Oh my god Scarlet! This food is heaven!" Shawn says stuffing his face with one of the pancakes making me break down into full out laughter. 

"Shawn....slow down.....before you choke!" I get out between giggles making him turn a shade of red as he swallows finishing his breakfast. 

When we all finish we head back up to our room and get dressed. when we get back downstairs Mrs. Gray is standing in the kitchen and looks at us when we come back in "Good morning you three. Everyone is at the park. Can you guys please stay in the house? Or within calling distance? There is someone coming by today who wants a pair of three and since you haven't been separated since you got here I thought you three would be perfect." 

"Okay we will stay around today then." I say causing her to smile and nod a thank you before heading off to do who knows what. 

It’s late in the afternoon when I hear the door to the house open and them moments later Mrs. Grey shout "SCARLET, SHAWN, TOMMY COME MEET SOMEONE." I smile and grab the boys shoving them out of their room, much to their objection, and drag them down the stairs with me. When I see a group of five large buff guys I stiffen and raise my nose, sniffing the air taking in their scents. After a minute or two I let out a low growl my wolf surfacing since she can smell the werewolf rolling off of the five. The one in front smirks at me before looking towards a horrified Mrs. Grey, "I like her. And since the two boys seem to like her I will take the three" he says causing me to stiffen my wolf now screaming at me to run and take Shawn and Tommy with me. After Mrs. Grey leads the guy towards her office to fill out some paper work leaving us with the other four buff and dangerous looking guys.

 “Scarlet? Are you ok?” I hear Tommy ask softly tugging on my shirt snapping me out of the battle with my wolf for control.

“I’m ok, just having an issue with my friend” I say to him pointing to my temple and he nods understanding that I mean my wolf. I smile at Shawn who takes a deep breath and smiling back at me.

About ten or so minuets pass before Mrs. Grey comes back smiling with the leader looking man with her. “Let’s go” he says to be before turning and walking out the door. When I don’t move to follow him his four minions walk over to me and my boys grabbing my arm and circling around them and walk us out the house. I snarl at the man who grabs my arm as I begin the struggle for control again.

‘Stop! I need to stay with the boys until Shawn shifts!’ I say to my wolf

‘We need to run! Just let me take over and they can get on our back!’ she says in a very distressed tone making me start to freak a little bit.

I take and deep breath and turn around to face the boys “My friend is freaking out and is going to come play. I need you both to get onto her back when she comes out.” I say and Tommy nods while Shawn looks freaked but he nods too. They both know how me and my wolf don’t exactly work very well together.

When the guy holding my arm stops walking and looks confused as to what I just said to the boys. I smile softly at him before giving into my wolf who lets out a vicious snarl at him before ripping my arm away from and shifting very rapidly into my pure white wolf with deep piercing purple eyes. The four men step back away from the now snarling wolf, I look at Tommy and Shawn who watch me carefully as they slowly come over and I lower myself to the ground. As soon as they both are on and securely holding to my white fur I growl at the men before turning around looking at the woods and running. When I get to the tree line a big brown wolf jumps in front of me stopping my running. I snarl my wolf clearly not happy or letting me have control any time soon. When I hear him snarl at me I growl a deep feral sound making him stop and look at me weirdly. That’s when I hear the loud groan from my back making my blood run cold. No, no, not now! I think as I feel Shawn whimper in pain snapping my wolf out of I need to run into protect her pup. I smile at how my wolf thinks of the boys, I growl at the brown wolf before I take off running to the left away from them all and when I find a new opening in the trees I turn dashing into the woods. When I think we are far enough in I lay down letting Tommy off my back and Shawn weakly gets off only to collapse the next few moments to the ground in pain. Tommy looks scared and I nuzzle him before turning to his brother who I nudge onto his hands and knees helping him. Within the next few minutes there is a loud sharp pop and a scream that turns into a howl as Shawn shifts. My wolf purrs out of happiness as I look at Shawn’s dirty blonde wolf. “What in the world?! How do I shift back?! This is so cool. I can’t wait till Tommy shifts!” I hear Shawn’s thoughts in my head as I shift back human not caring that I’m naked.

“Put up a mind block please. I can hear your thoughts” I say smiling as my wolf lets me have control again. “To shift back think of yourself as a human. This shift will be the worst and most painful.”

“Okay! Thanks Scarlet!” Shawn says through the mind link making me smile as he shifts back smiling like a fool causing me to laugh

“I’m glad you’re happy, your wolf will recognize me as its Alpha as my wolf thinks of you as its pup” I tell him and he just smiles and nods “Now we need to go, and Tommy is it okay if I open your mind to the mind link a bit earlier than when normal?” I ask

“Sure!” Tommy says smiling; I smile back and then take Shawn’s hand in mind pulling him over to Tommy as I put my forehead against his and I begin mumbling something in the language my wolf knows. I hear Tommy gasp and ask through the link

“Did it work?” I nod to him

“Yes it did. Now, both of you, in order to put up a block to keep your thoughts to yourself imagine a wall around your head and that will put up the block” They nod as then their loud thoughts get cut off from my mind and I smile at them “Good job it worked. Now, we need to leave. I have issues with packs and don’t want to get caught up in the mix of it all again.” I say the last part a bit bitterly. They both just nod but before we set off I hear Shawn ask

“Can we get some clothes? I don’t think me and you walking around naked is a good idea” I smile at him and nod

“I have a small stash in a tree near the old house.” And with saying that we set off walking towards our ‘home’ for the last time.
