A/N: This is the prologue, how Luna and Jimin meet. This contains time skips so each paragraph is a few days later than the previous. Hope you like it :) -RJ
~~~~~
It was a daily routine, going back and forth between her apartment and the clinic. She did not mind; she loved her job very much and for Luna, it didn't felt like a job, more like a hobby.
As she walked to the clinic, she passed by the same places every day: the small pastry shop where she always stops on her way home to buy fresh baked goodies, the park where she spends her weekend's afternoons and the alley.
The alley, as she simply called it, was a dead end short street, a perfect hiding spot for Hybrids. Luna knew that there was a Hybrid, a boy hybrid, hiding in there, for the past week. She saw him once, on a late night, when she was going home and she scared him by mistake.
She wasn't expecting someone to be on the streets at such a late hour and he probably thought the same. So when he suddenly jumped from above her exactly in front of her, his ears up and alert as he ran to hide in the darkness of the alley, scaring Luna in the process.
She froze, turning her head to try and spot him in the dead end, but he was hiding in the shadows, impossible for her eyes to see. She wanted to go and speak to him, but it was dark and she didn't know anything about him, if he was aggressive or unfamiliar with humans.
As weeks passed, she spotted the hybrid a few more times and she noticed how he was losing weight and how his clothes got dirtier and messier, a sign that he was abandoned and definitely a stray.
Luna couldn't help but worry for him, especially since this was exactly her job: saving strays from the street, helping them recover and then finding a new home for them. She wanted to approach him, but whenever she tried getting closer, he seemed to disappear into the unknown hidding places. She knew it will take time and that she will have to be patient to get friendly with the hybrid, so she only watched him from afar.
One night, she stopped at a shop, buying some hot food, wondering what kind of food he would like, since she wasn't sure what kind of hybrid the boy was and what he preferred.
She also bought water and some hand warmers, noticing how the weather started to change a bit. Once she reached the alley, she approached silently, knowing that the hybrid was probably hiding behind the big dumpster, a spot where he couldn't be seen from the main road.
She did not want to get too close and startle the hybrid, fearing that he'll be either aggressive or that he would run away. She stopped and put the bag full of food down and turned on her heels to walk away, knowing that he will not come out as long as she's there. Luna walked past the corner but stopped, hearing the rustle of the bag and she smiled as she continued her way back home.
She threw the ball for the hybrid she was currently taking care of, Taehyung, to catch as the wind rustled her hair. She watched with a smile on her face as the boy ran to catch it and she noticed how healthy he already looked.
Luna only had him for 2 months, after rescuing him from a few streets away from the clinic. She fed him, took care of him and he was getting back to a normal weight. She was trying to find him a new owner, but Taehyung was a bit too hyper and already attached to her, making it difficult to find a perfect owner for him.
Taehyung was happy living with Luna, finally having a good owner that treated him right. He already loved her very much and he only wanted her to buy him a collar and make him an official member of the family.
He came back and gave her the ball to throw again, jumping on his feet as he watched her movements, ready to run. She threw it with much more strength this time, the ball flying somewhere close to the fence that separated the park from the streets and buildings but she didn't see where it flew exactly.
" Oh, sorry Tae, i threw it too far. Let's go find it." she said, rushing to the spot where she thought the ball flew at.
They both looked around for it, but it seemed like the bouncy ball disappeared. Taehyung was pouting and his ears fell flat on his head, upset that the game was now ending and they would go back home so soon.
A rustle gained Luna's attention and she turned to see the alley hybrid, staying on the other side of the fence. He had his hoodie on, covering the ears that she knew were there, and held the ball they were looking for in his hand. He raised his arm, wanting to throw the ball over the fence but Luna stopped him.
" If you want, you can keep it. It's okay!" she said with a smile on her face, trying to seem as friendly as she could to the stray. She knew that owning something was an important thing for strays and she wanted him to gave him something. After 2 years of working with hybrids, she learned that offering something to them was one of the gestures they valued the most, so she didn't mind offering him a simple ball.
The boy seemed to freeze, not knowing if she meant it or if she was just making fun of him. After a few moments of thinking, he slowly lowered his hand, much to Luna's delight. She nodded her head, telling him that's okay and the hybrid's grip on the ball grew a bit stronger before he started running back to the safety of his streets.
She watched him go, patting Taehyung's head as he pouted at the loss of his ball. She was making progress and she planned to approach the hybrid and help him get out of the dangerous streets and into a warm house soon, before the cold winter came.
A/N: So this is how she meets Jimin :) I know this is short, but it's a prologue and i just wanted to introduce the characters and show how she slowly gets closer to him. In the next chapter, the story starts so there will be no more time skipping and it will definitely be longer. Hope you like it and tell me what do you think about this idea?
