Chapter Nine (+Summer Project Announcement)

Summer Project Announcement:

So this is something that I've been planning to do for a long time and that is quite unique for fanfiction. Usually, you see this kind of project for fanart, but not really for fanfics so I hope some of you will see interest in. I plan to print copies of 3 of my fanfics: Dark & Wild, Paw Prints, and Bare Skin. Of course, the books will be completed by the time I will start taking orders for them: at the end of this summer.

Why would you want to have a printed copy when you have the free version here? Well... First of all, it would be a very cool way to support me and my writing. Second, the printed version will be edited, proofread and corrected. I will rewrite some of the scenes and improve the whole work. Third, there will be extra chapters in the books, bonus content that I will not post here. I know it's not fair, but I need to make the printed version special, right? Fourth, if you guys agree, I plan to have original fanart for the covers, made especially for the book. Fifth, did I mention that you will support me and my writing?

Jimin and Luna drove back to work after the visit at Bom residency, much to Jimin's dislike. He wanted to just grab Jungkook and get him out of the house, but apparently, they were not allowed to do that. There was a protocol that needed to be followed, meaning that they needed to wait before they could remove Jungkook from that house.

Luna asked Jimin to wait in the lobby as she went to complete the necessary documents and discuss with her boss, leaving Jimin alone. He felt awkward, just by himself in a Hybrid clinic and that used to be one of his nightmares. He watched all kinds of humans walk past, some in normal clothes but with badges and others in white coats that smelled of medicine. Despite the strong smell of humans, the smell of hybrids was so much stronger, especially to Jimin's developed nose. So it wasn't surprising when Jimin sensed a hybrid approaching him.

'Your ears are cute.'

Jimin looked down to see a young boy, maybe 5 or 6, sitting next to him and smiling at him. Jimin immediately noticed that the boy had no hybrid ears so Jimin looked at the boy's face. The boy had light blue circles around his eyes- a common feature of bird hybrids. Now that Jimin looked closely, he could see small white feathers hiding between the boy's hair, signaling that he was young and his feathers have yet to grow. Bird hybrids were rare, similar to how birds were not a common pet choice, and if they had certain genes from rare birds- expensive as well.

'Thank you...?' Jimin replied, not knowing exactly how to respond.

'Can I touch them?' The boy asked, making grabby hands at Jimin.

In most cases, Jimin would have said something along the lines of 'You can shove that hand in ---- ---' but since a kid, a hybird (OKAY I SAW THE OCCASION AND I HAD TO SAY IT), Jimin decided to make an exception for him so he bent down. The boy reached for Jimin's fluffy ears and Jimin flinched as he did not like people -especially children- touching his ears. Much to Jimin's surprise, the boy's touch was gentle and he didn't grab at them, but rather just petted his ears gently.

'Does it tickle?'

'A bit. Are you curious about them?' Jimin asked, knowing that bird hybrids didn't have ears as most of the other hybrids so the child probably had a lot of questions about them.
