It's the day after I told my mother about what all had happened; she cried. I told her I would try and save her and my dad, but she continued to cry more."It's about time you decided to come back, you don't understand how tiring it is getting in your head."
"Rosemary," I turn around a come face-to-face with her. Her eyes are still the same, but I can tell she's angry by the way the blood gushes out of her eyes and mouth.
"Seems like you caught my name," she smirks.
"Stay out of my dreams!" I yell at her."Oh, what you had yesterday? That was no dream, dear. That was reality. See, you were actually there. Along with your little friend you had met at the park, I'm sure you remember him," she circles around me, I can hear her footsteps... wait... I can hear her footsteps, she can't touch anything.
"Yes," I assure her and try not to be scared.
"Well, thanks to him, I've grown stronger... I'm sure you know how that works since he wasn't supposed to tell you," she walks closer towards me. "I'm sure you were happy to see him during his last breaths... while we're on the subject, your other little friend was there too... y'know... Braxton. He may think it was all a dream, but you just had to ruin everything like always!" She quickly finds her hands around my neck.
"No, stop!" I scream and attempt to grab her with my own hands, but she's too strong.
"Next time, don't save yourself! How about you save yourself from all the trouble and let me kill you!" Her screams are horrendous, they could make you go deaf.
"Zoella!" My mother rushes to my side on the floor where Rosemary had disappeared. I catch my breath and look at my hands, only to find Rosemary's blood on me from her eyes and mouth.
"I'm fine mom," I get up. I can't be scared, she's already strong, who knows what she would do if she got even stronger.
"You're not fine! What is she doing to you!?"
"Mother! I'm okay! Please stay out of it, I'll take care of it, please!"
She shakes her head and embraces me in the tightest hug ever, I quickly return it. I can hear her slight whimpers in between her crying while we hug for so long.
"I'm sorry. I'll make everything better, okay?" I assure her. She nods slowly and kisses my forehead, then releases our hug.
"I love you so much," my mother reminds me.
"I love you too mom."
...
I decided to get ready to take a shower that night. I look over at my window to see Braxton looking over at me. I smile warmly and open my window, he does as well.
"How's it goin' over there?" He asks.
"Alright, I suppose," I shrug, "I was just gonna hop in the shower, y'know... get my mind cleared up a bit."
"That sounds like a good idea, I'll talk to you when you get out then?" He questions. I nod and smile. I close my window and walk to my shower. After closing my bathroom door, I turn on some warm water and strip down to nothing. There's not anything better than a late night shower. I step into the warm water, lean my head back, and relax my tense muscles. I sigh deeply and smile. This feels so nice.
After shampooing and conditioning, I grab my wash rag to wash my body. I listen closely to some conversation downstairs, sounds like Braxton just could not wait. I laugh quietly to myself then wipe some water off of my face. As I do so, I look at the blood that had been on my hand. I'm confused, is my head bleeding? I touch my forehand where more blood reaches my whole hand. I look at my body, it's all over me. I start to panic, I can feel my heart race. I look up at my shower head to see that blood is spurting out of it instead of water, I'm showering in blood. I look down to see that my whole bathtub is red, my feet, my legs, my waist... my entire body! I scream loudly and turn the shower off. I cover myself with a towel and run out of the bathroom. A pair of feet make their way up the stairs and my door swings open.
